Dr. Chau Ton-That, DO

This has been the most amazing doctor. He is confident, caring and knowledgeable psychiatrist.

Dr. Ton-That does not take the care to thoroughly evaluate a patient’s mental health; he only seems interested in collecting a paycheck from insurance. He misdiagnosed my brother who was clearly schizophrenic and needing medical intervention. My brother was referred here after being in a psychological treatment clinic for 5 days. In a couple visits, Dr. Ton-That asked my brother how he was doing, and my brother said that everything was fine. Then he was dismissed. If Dr. Ton-That had probed further, he would have found that my brother had ideas of grandeur and experienced hallucinations. Dr. Ton-That released my brother without any further instructions for his ongoing mental care and needs. Now my brother is untreated and still experiencing schizophrenia. We cannot get him to go see a physician because he believes he is healthy. This doctor isn’t interested in treating schizophrenic patients and will only be a hindrance to helping your loved ones get the help they need.

Please run as fast as you can away from this place and doctor! This doctor has no compassion or it appears, knowledge, when it comes to seeing patients who are non-verbal and Downsyndrome. Even so, he could have been more professional. I sadly think this doctor is checked out and doesn't seem to care anymore. Please don't take a loved one or yourself here.

Very concerned psychiatrist who listens to the needs of his patients.

Unfortunately, I have no experience with the dr himself. The staff at this office is flat out deplorable. Beyond being rude and abrasive, the staff is incredibly condescending. I have filed formal complaints against the staff of this office and requested a new referral. Do yourself a favor and find another caretaker. You as a patient deserve better.
