Dr. Cheri Blacksten, MD

Dr. Blacksten has been our doctor for years. I’m 66 and she is simply the best doctor I’ve ever had! She listens to what I say, asks clarifying questions and presents alternative options for consideration. She spends as much time as needed. I Never feel rushed. I’m glad she is our doctor!

I have been a patient of Dr. Blacksten for many years. A recent visit prompted me to write this review, but my visits are handled similarly. Dr. Blacksten always listens as I try to explain what my current heath conditions are. I am always impressed with how attentive Dr. Blacksten is and how she is able to deduce from my explanation of symptoms what possible solutions might be warranted. She has a broad base of medical knowledge and actively listens, then formulates a plan of action. When I visited her office recently, there were a number of health issues I was experiencing. After talking with Dr. Blacksten for the better part of an hour, Dr. Blacksten formulated a plan forward, helped me to understand the steps to implementing that plan, and I left her office with a clear sense of hope. I am writing this review because I have complete confidence in Dr. Blacksten's ability to help me maintain my health. She has helped me immensely and I truly appreciate her medical expertise.

Her nurse Sonya is incredibly rude and lazy and doesn't care about her patients at all. Blacksten stops caring about her patients after a while too and tells you you're "someone else's problem" when she doesn't know how else to care for you. I was her patient for over 5 years and I just fired her. Her nurse never follows up on anything nor calls you back, they always have communication problems and there are only 3 people in the whole damn practice! She has her dogs in the office all the time, and her kid. She treats the place like her house. I've had to wait over an hour 3 different times on a telehealth appointment for Blacksten to show up, and they don't bother to check in with you to let you know why she's late or what's going on. They're very unprofessional and completely disorganized. Also, Blacksten has been flagged by the pharmacy for over-prescribing opiates which I didn't see know until she prescribed them to me and then I couldn't pick them up because she's been flagged.

Dr. Blacksten and her staff are amazing. I have been seeing her since before she opened her practice and she always takes my preferred care into consideration when offering solutions to my heath care needs. She takes the time to listen, review and diagnose.

One of the best Family Practice doctors I have encountered. Very thorough and knowledgable. Well-trained like the old fashioned doctors. I am a physician as well.

Dr. Blacksten is a great primary care physician. I trust her with my overall care as well as my children!

I started seeing Dr. BLACKSTEN 4 years ago. I liked her immediately. She was thorough, took her time with me, and was one of the best physician experiences I've ever had.

Listened and address my issues. Found the course of treatment perfect for me. Would recommend her to everyone I know. Office personal pleasant and professional.

The patient comes first with Dr. Blacksten. She reviews your records and conditions before your appointment. Orders tests to find answers and deals with the insurrance company when they deny a medicine you need. Is very current on latest treatments. Strong advocate for her patients. I'd recommend her to my family and friends.

Dr. Blacksten was knowledgeable and thorough during my annual physical exam. She exhibited a caring attitude. She addressed my concerns. She was kind and considerate during a recent visit for a wrist problem, recommending exercises before considering other therapies.
