I used her at the Milton office of Morrow Family Medicine. It was completely satisfactory. I was impressed that Dr. McGowan passed along some unique printed material regarding physical fitness, and took time to briefly explain the concepts. Evidently Dr McGowan is not at the Morrow Family Medicine practice any more, which is too bad for some of the patients who were being well served by this doctor.

In me 40 years of seeing doctors, she has been the least compassionate, most disrespectful and most unprofessional provider I’ve ever seen. Other family members who are patients at this practice have also had the misfortune of having to see her. We each have (independently) requested to not have any appts with her. I came in with a condition that has been a well documented issue since I was a teen. The second she heard that I am under pain management I was treated like a junkie and was refused and testing or exams... despite this condition is one that doesn’t require any pain related treatment. Multiple other providers in the SAME practice (MDs, PA’s and Nurse ) have treated my non-pain issue with 5 star treatment. McGowen has ZERO empathy, tact or people skills. You can’t help someone like her with ignorance and a God complex I guess.

Dr. McGowan is an excellent doctor. She is thorough, caring and spends a good amount of time with you. I last saw her at Morrow Family Medicine in Oct. 2018. Shorty after that, she left this practice. I've been trying to find her ever since with no luck.

She could care less. Period. Your just a ticket number. Very impersonable. No help, she almost acted aggravated at the problems and questions my husband had. Very disappointed. You spend so much money and time and leave with no answers and feeling like a nobody.

If one wanted arrogance and zero empathy from a doctor one would visit a cheap low life medical clinic in a Southside Atlanta combat zone. Who would have thought one could find such a doctor residing, expensively, in Milton GA at the James Morrow family medicine clinic (on HWY 9 near Walmart)? What doctor is this you ask? It’s Cheryl McGowan MD (tongue–in-cheek title of course) that's who! Cheryl has NONE of the attitudes and traits and mannerisms you expect in a QUALITY doctor. Spend your $ on

Dr McGowan was very thorough, she really listens to you and you can tell she genuinely cares for her patients. Staff is very friendly and helpful. And fast call back with lab results
