Dr. Chi-Hyun Kim, MD

I was fortunate to see Dr. Kim in clinic recently when I was feeling very sick. She was very caring and compassionate. I felt very confident in her care too because she has a lot of years of experience, and it showed. She quickly figured out my diagnosis and gave me a great treatment plan. I'm so thankful to her. My only complaint is that she is not open to accepting new patients right now. Doctors like her are hard to find these days.

Short and snippy, wouldn’t hear me out and understand my problem. Hung up on me before a resolution was reached.

I had a prescription for bladder infection preventative and unfortunately I didn’t use it when I needed to so I got a bladder infection. This Doctor asked me “how many pills I had left” instead of giving me a prescription for my infection she chose to use my existing preventative prescription to add to what she wanted to prescribe to rid my infection leaving me with no preventative. I told her I needed a few pills for preventative and she denied me rudely and ended the chat without giving me any medication. I was in massive pain so I had to go back into the 96 point app hoping there would be a different doctor she answered by saying rudely “ oh so you had time to think about it!” I called her out on her behavior saying “you just don’t hang up on a patient that needs help what kind of Dr does this” at the end she basically took my preventive medication used it and didn’t give me enough to cure my infection! Horrible doctor, extremely rude I will never use her again even if I was dying!

Dr. Kim was my primary care physician. She was very patient, even on the busiest days. I never felt rushed. She was a straight shooter and really kind. She always remembered me and my situation. It felt like having a friend who happened to be a physician.

Dr. Kim with her extensive medical knowledge and empathy is an excellent physician. She is a patient listener who asks good questions, explains clearly and thoroughly my current medical condition and answers my questions in a thoughtful detailed way. She makes good referrals when needed, responds to messages and follows up on test results in a timely manner. Dr. Kim has been my primary care doctor since she came to Overlake Medical Center in Bellevue. Over the years she has shared new medical guidelines as they pertain to my health and engaged in dialogue to ensure I have information to be able to make informed decision. When I see her I know that I will receive excellent care and equally important is Dr. Kim knows who I am as a person.

I've visited 5 other physicians in the Bellevue/Redmond area, and never liked my experience with any of them enough to go back. I would definitely want to continue to see Dr. Kim going forward as my primary care physician. I highly recommend her! She is patient, a great listener, shares information about my health in detail, meticulous about lab work follow-up. She makes potentially difficult procedures seem easy. She listened to me, understood me and treated me well. She didn't just want to get me out the door as soon as possible (which I have seen with some other providers). I had an annoying issue that other providers were dismissive of, and Dr. Kim heard me out and gave me a referral. Ashley, her CMA took great care of me and made sure that Dr. Kim was appropriately briefed on relevant details on all my visits. (of which I've had 3 at the time of writing of this review). I'm a woman of colour.

Dr. Kim is a knowledgeable and empathetic physician who I have visited several times. She asks questions and is very thorough in her medical approach, which I have appreciated. She has also followed up after my visits which is beyond what I have expected from my physicians.

I've seen Dr. Kim for mental health concerns and as my PCP. As busy as the clinic is, she always takes the time to listen and answer my questions. I'm consistently impressed with how versed she is in a wide range of topics. I have recommended her to coworkers who are also very pleased with the care they have received.

At first, Dr. Kim was funny and helpful. But as soon as I began having medical issues, she was unavailable and blatantly refused to write any Rx or refills. She actually would not give me anymore medication for my spinal condition (which requires surgery) telling me to "go to a pain clinic" - but pain clinics won't see patients whose condition has lasted less than 3 months. So, here I sit in constant spinal pain and absolutely no medications because I had to find another PVP. Do NOT choose her.

Dr. Kim is a wonderful physician. She provides superior primary care and is prompt in returning messages and calls. She has helped me with various medical concerns and has been attentive and empathic in her approach. I am grateful to have her as my doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kim's for 3 years now. She is always so helpful and kind whenever I come in. She really cares about her patients and strives to do whatever she can to help you live a happier, healthier life. I will be a patient of hers for a very long time!

Dr. Kim is personable and will make sure that all of your needs are met. I love having her as my primary care Dr., and have gone to her for many different health issues.

I had a recent situation with a medical provider from another hospital that gave me a health scare after she overprescribed me a certain medication. I decided to follow up with Dr. Kim instead, since she is an internist and had better experience and background. She was thorough and calm which helped to ease my angst. In the end, my results were clear but the reassurance and explanation was helpful for me. I would definitely go back to see her, she has the knowledge & a comprehensive approach

I can never get in touch with her. I probably won't be able to unless I pay a copay to see her. I called several times at her facility but it was useless. As a result I will have to pay out of pocket what is supposed to be covered by my insurance but she won't sign off for it. (she referred me to a podiatrist which in turn referred me to have physical therapy. Now the PT is asking for my PCP to approve but she won't) don't ever go to bellevue medical

I have been seeing Dr Kim for the past several years and have referred my coworkers and friends to her too. She takes time to listen and is really thorough! I have never met a doctor who emails so quickly with test results too!
