Dr. Venkatraman saved my life! I was sent to her with a large stage 4 squamous cell tumor. She ordered a PET scan to determine whether or not it had spread and sent the results and me to surgeons to see if surgery was an option. She also sent me to an immunotherapist to see if that was a better approach. The surgeons agreed that the surgery was possible and would probably be successful, and I opted for that approach. Dr. V. and her staff oversaw my recovery after the surgery and recommended (and applied) a form of post-surgical immunotherapy to prevent a recurrence. I highly recommend her and her practice.

She saved my life
In 2021, I found a lump in my breast which revealed was stage 2 cancer. The following 3 years I was overwhelmed with all the treatments to rid my body of the cancer. In seeing Dr. Venkatraman, I was terrified of it all. Both her staff and she remained supportive and accommodating to a person with a mobility disability. She remained stern and consistent in her treatment recommendations. Even to the point, that I freaked out and I wanted to refuse chemotherapy. The doctor explained the treatments were to rid the body of the most microscopic traces of cancer. (I had a friend who refused treatments and died of lung cancer.) I know that, if my friend, had my doctor who never gave into my fears or doubts, I feel my friend might still be alive, just like me. She was the mother I needed to get me through it, never listening to the stubborn fears. She is knowledgeable and the most amazing doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Venkatraman if you find yourself having to face the beast of cancer.

Last year, when I met with my PCP, he referred me to Medical Oncologist Dr Chitra Venkatraman for a review of already received Multiple Myeloma treatment. I was able to secure an early appointment to see her. On my first visit to her, I was so impressed with the way she received me and the professionalism she and her staff exhibited. She responded to all my questions and concerns to my satisfaction. I received the same attention and professionalism from her and her colleagues and staff during my subsequent visits. I am looking forward to visiting and meeting her soon for follow up.

A very great practice
My first visit to this practice was filled with confusion about what to expect, but Dr. V gave me the assurance needed, she hugged me, which is not very common with Doctors, I am an RN myself, so I know that for a fact. She cried with me, and she gave me a positive outlook on every step. The nursing staff were super awesome empathic and efficient. I am very grateful to the office manager too; I have had to text her cell phone before for an appointment and she responded right away. I recommend this office for any oncologic issues they will take care of you, and you will come out great. Thank You, Dr. V, and all your staff you are awesome!! God bless you all

Highly Recommended
I am highly recommending Dr. V because 5 months ago I had a Carotid Aneurysm when my vertebrae in my neck collapsed which caused a trigger finger. I went to a Orthopedic doctor, who wanted to do a Spinal fusion. This doctor scared me by saying that I had to have this surgery or else I could become paralyzed or die at any moment. My family dropped everything and we prepared for the worst outcome.During the process of getting cleared for this major operation, I was sent to Dr. V to rule out any blood disorders. The day before the surgery, I saw Dr. V and she advised I postpone the surgery and have second opinion from a Neurologist. I have other medical issues that needed to be addressed and confirmed. After seeing more than 6 different doctors in different fields, two more Dr.'s did not recommend the spinal fusion since it would not solve my main medical problem.Dr. V is not only professional, but kind, caring and honest. Her staff is exceptional in being kind, patient and caring.

Straight to the Point Great Care
I credit Dr. Venkatraman in helping to save my life. July of 2023 I was diagnosed with a mass in the left lymph nodes of my neck. I was at a total lost. After being referred to Dr. V., I followed her guidance. After multiple test it was determined I had advanced metastatic cancer. Dr. Venkatraman immediately formulated a treatment plan that allows me today to write this review. She is thorough, knowledgeable, caring and straight to the point in ensuring the patients she cares for understands their diagnosis and care plan. The staff is unbelievably efficient, respectful, friendly, and caring. Everyone is willing to answer your questions or find the answer. The facility is clean, and the infusion center also has comfortable sitting. I will be forever grateful Dr. Venkatraman and her team of professionals for the care I was and am provided.

Dr V is very passionate about her patients
Dr V is very professional, dedicated and passionate about the health of her patients. She took the time to patiently listen to me, fully explain the rather complex condition, diagnostic procedures, results and the prognosis in a way I as a patient could comprehend well. She also provided me with copies of the key diagnostic reports that I could go through later. Her office is technologically upto date. It has an online portal where I could access more test reports and other information. Her office staff was also very courteous and professional. She is very kind and truly cares about the well being of her patients. I was referred to her due to low hemoglobin levels. She diagnosed it as a rather rare bone marrow disease using genome test and bone marrow biopsy and started a treatment regimen. Further she herself refered me to the University Of Maryland cancer center for a second opinion which many doctors may not do. I am very happy to recommend Dr V to hematology/oncology patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. V's since 2020. I have received excellent care from Dr. V . She listened to my concerns as for my treatment and provided me with a plan that helped me. If anything comes up about my health , she immediately makes sure that I am informed. I am so pleased with how she cares about me. The advice and knowledge that she provides me with for my treatment is very helpful and appreciated. When I was in the hospital she showed so much concern for my recovery. She is truly from my experience a very loving, kind and compassionate person and Physician that really cares about her patients. I am glad that God put her in my path on this journey in my life.

OUTSTANDING CARE
In October 2021, I was referred to Chitra Venkatraman, M.D., P.A. diagnoses and treatment for Multiple Myeloma. I was in severe pain, in a variety of places and in need of help. From day one, Dr. Venkatraman (Dr. V) sat with me and my wife, explained the treatment options and ordered her staff to immediately execute her cancer treatment plan. I agreed to follow her plan and so happy I did. After four months of chemotherapy and other select drugs, Dr. V and her staff did a wonderful job administering treatment, providing guidance and advice. Several times I needed hydration, referrals for other doctors, and advice on medication side effects. Dr. V patiently listened and provided clear, knowledgeable, and personable consultations and treatment. Throughout my treatment which included other specialist and hospital facilities, it became clear that Dr. Venkatraman was highly esteemed throughout the local medical community. Dr. Venkatraman is an outstanding doctor.
