Dr. Christian Ledet, MD

I recently had a steroid injection in my lumbar back for spinal stenosis. I felt that Dr. Ledet was very honest with me and also informative. I certainly would recommend him for any chronic pain issues. R. Patton-Knowles, Albia, Ia. Jan. 10, 2022

Dr Ledet performed two electro sound ablations (nerve burning) on my upper neck/occipital area. He was completely caring and very honest about the expected results. He explained that the nerves can regenerate anywhere from 6 to 24 months after the procedure and the pain may return. He was absolutely on point, the pain came back after one year but it was a lot less intense than before. I elected to have the ablation done a second time, which is very common, and that was more than two years ago and my pain is drastically reduced. I can now do a lot more heavy work, have a better range of motion and have a more optimistic outlook. He and his staff were very kind and very professional. I recommend him highly. While I understand that some medical procedures don't have the results that both Dr & patient would desire, I can only address Dr Ledet on the basis of my first 2 appointments with him. He was compassionate, friendly, informative and I really liked him. I've been suffering from chronic back pain for over 2 years. I was recently referred to Dr Ledet for pain management after a 3 level disc fusion. Dr Ledet has given me hope. I understand that I'm still in the preliminary stage of the process to determine if a spinal cord stimulator will relieve my daily pain. He has been so informative and his counseling has made me hopeful that I can get my life back. I believe in my primary care physician (Dr Stanton Danielson) and believe he would not have referred me to Dr Ledet if he didn't have a high level of confidence in him. So far Dr Ledet has provided compassionate care.

I fully agree with the review from 8/20/2019. I have been a patient of Dr. Ledet's since his office was barely up and functional - 2015. He was a caring and compassionate doctor with empathy THEN. 8/22/19, he did an epidural - and hit the sacral nerve. 8/23/2019, I was in the ER because of 10+/10 in pain and puking. I left a message nurse; she called and told me there's nothing that they could do for me, I'd have to deal with the pain while the steroid took effect. 9/18/19, saw Dr. Ledet. He refused to prescribe any medicine that would help and foisted me off to UI "for a second opinion." He was condescending, made me feel like a criminal, lacked any empathy. He absolutely refused to give me the same meds the ER prescribed because it was against his morals even though they worked to drastically reduce my pain. He didn't include me in the decisions about my care - it was all about what he decided. He also wanted me to increase gabapentin even though on 8/22 he told me to stop it.

Awful . Please do not waste your time. I have never felt more disrespected. This supposed caring doctor spent 4 minutes total with me as a new patient, never once looked at my medical records or pain charts I filled out specific for this visit, did not listen, told me he would see if he could make an appointment for me with another doctor related to something not remotely involved in the problem, that would take another month (Mind you I had waited 6 weeks for this appointment already) then after that he would see me maybe in another month..... 3 months total. Guy could not have possibly cared less about me or my pain. People like him should have their medical license taken away. A pompous non caring self absorbed self important (fill in the blank). By the way, office is old and dirty, air conditioning not working, 90 degrees out, roof leaks into rooms. I wish there was a way to give negative or zero stars instead of minimum of one. Please don’t waste your time

Dr. Ledet is the doctor who done the spinal cord stimulation on my husband. We have been completely satisfied with the results of the procedure. My husband has been relieved of his pain so much, he is able to function normally. Dr. Ledet, personally, is a great doctor, with time to listen to you and talk about your problems and is very caring about your well being.

Dr. Ledet is an outstanding physician in every way. Kind, extremely bright, and very empathetic. He answered every question that I had and went above and beyond in explaining the treatment that I was to receive. His staff is also wonderful. I was able to see him two weeks earlier than I had planned due to a cancellation. Claire called and worked me into the schedule.
