This was my second visit with Dr. Cox. I thought I would give her another opportunity. During my visit I had some questions and concerns about my care. Regarding my questions and concerns, she said that was not her specialty and she seemed like she was unconcerned. Also I heard her Patient Assistant (maybe nurse) make a derogatory comment about a local high-school in the area. I guess she thinks no one is more intelligent than her. Needless to say I won't be going back. I need someone no matter what Doctor I go to to to be attentive to my needs as a patient.

This would have been my second appointment with Dr. Cox for an annual. My cycle started the night prior and I was bleeding heavily and cramping. Because the office doesn’t open until 8am (appt. at 8:30am) I had to wait before I called to see if I still needed to come in. I called and the very first voice I heard was rude. I told her who I was and the dr. that I needed to see, and she had a smart aleck tone. She then referred me to the dr.‘s office. The next lady was ok she informed me that she would still see me despite of. I got off the phone and realized what time it was. I DO NOT STAY IN MACON. Called back I was answered by two extremely rude women. The second woman was awful asking if I had left the house yet then saying well “YOU JUST NEED TO RESCHEDULE” (that was the whole point of the first call) she rescheduled and then asked for my new insurance card. I had to get to it. She was getting very inpatient. Considered changing doctors.. we’ll see how the appt. goes..

Dr. Cox is the most knowledgeable and compassionate OB/GYN that I have ever had. I have had difficulties for several years, which were unresolved by several other doctors. However, Dr. Cox took the time to do whatever was necessary (tests, etc.) to get to the bottom of things. I have NEVER had a complaint about her or her services. She has not always been available to me, because of her vast responsibilities as a medical professional and her rights as an individual (i.e. having to deliver a baby during my appointment time or being off work (neither which happen often)), but it is hard to find a doctor that is both knowledgeable and has bedside manner (usually you get one without the other). My doctor goes over & beyond to give her patients the best treatment. For this reason, I have referred several people to her & will continue to do so. Any woman that seeks Dr. Cox for care WILL NOT regret it. I haven’t!

Dr. Cox is a very kind and knowledgeable doctor, but she is also fairly inaccessible. She rarely responds to emails or phone calls. She pressured me to be induced earlier than planned if I wanted her to deliver my baby, as she had an event planned that weekend. When the birth took too long, I was left in the hands of a very cruel woman who also worked at the practice while she went to a wedding. She never checked on me after that, even though my baby and I were in the hospital where she worked for an entire week after the birth, because my baby was in the NICU. She never even tried to follow up.

After having a miscarriage, Dr. Cox was so kind and understanding. She took the time to be there every step of the way and did not pass me off to another doctor she did all the procedures herself. I am truly grateful to her and all her help during this time.

I hate to leave such a bad review for Dr.Cox because I was referred to her by many ! But once I called and tried to schedule appointment the lady I was sent too was very rude and non-chalant. She was very nasty rushing me off the phone as I was not done asking questions . I told her what insurance I had and she stated they don’t except my kind and immediately hung up . Dr.Cox may be good but her staff is horrible clearly . After this I decided to just find me some other doctor because I don’t c.

Dr. Cox does not offer same day or next day appointments. Unless you are healthy and forsee no emergencies that might occur do not go to her. The people who schedule appointments are rude! The first time I tried to make an appointment I was instructed to leave a voicemail. No one returned my call for a week. And still wasn't able schedule til the next month. Called a second time and the same issue. This time was told I could always have my file transferred to someone who could see me sooner.
