All reviews are confirmed and audited before publication, and community members have the ability to flag inappropriate content for further review by our team.

They refused to see me because they said medicaid wouldn’t pay for my visit even though i was on a call with Medicaid and they advised them they would be paid and the office still told me unless I paid cash they couldn’t see me even though my insurance was assuring them they would be paid they still said no! Very upsetting after having to see a kidney doctor in bad circumstances. Girls that handle the insurance are rude and heartless!!

Fantastic doctor, excellent practice. The practice got me in immediately to see the doctor and unlike some negative reviews I have read, I had a great experience. Of course, I am very familiar with my insurance and what is covered and what I have to pay out of pocket, therefore, no need for ANYONE to get angry at the doctor or staff for doing their jobs. Just happy to find actual physicians (not PA or NP) who are still in private practice.

Christine Chen provides good care. However, at least one of her frontline staff is rude, inappropriate, and serves as an impediment to providing an adequate quality of overall care. Although I discussed her frontline staff problems months ago, the staff behavior has not improved, and represents a lack of adherence to basic principles of staff quality of care and customer service. I am a health systems consultant, and see this as a serious weakness in her practice.

1.5 years ago, Dr. Chen saw our 90 year old mom, just 2 weeks from the urgent request from our PCP. Dr. Chen has worked incredible kidney function miracles to do whatever necessary to lower blood pressure and control water retention with meds and help alleviate worry and concern about issues beyond our control. As a patient, Mom loves her, respects her and follows her instruction. Dr. Chen has allowed us, caregivers and children, to keep Mom comfortable at home. Thank you, Dr. Chen!
