Avoid
Dr. Adam seemed to be in a hurry on our first appointment. Did not go in detail with me about problem at hand. Disregarded previous doctor's notes or recommendations in distaste. Was very eager to perform procedures not medically indicated without going over risks and benefits or alternate options. Possibly spent more time talking to his scribe than with me. I would recommend going to other retina specialists who do not recommend unnecessary procedures and have good bedside manner.

Excellent doctor
I saw Dr Adam for an emergency visit and he was very caring, careful to explain the details of everything he would do during the exam. He is very knowledgeable, and had the patience to listen to and answer my questions and concerns. What started as a scary situation, turned into an excellent experience.

Doctor That Runs Away
My Ophthalmologist at OCLI suggested I see Dr Adam to determine if it's safe to do cateract surgery with the fact that I also have a Post Vitreous Detachment. Dr Adam refused to answer my questions and actually ran out of the office when I tried to get him to respond to my concerns. I turned to his assistant who was still in the room with me and said, "What's that all about?" The assistant answered, "Well, he has other patients." That's no excuse for refusing to answer my questions that I was concerned about. His attitude convinced me to never to back to my Ophthalmologist at OCLI who recommended Dr Adam for consultation.
