Dr. Blackman is the best as I have had 2 total hip replacements with him both using the anterior approach. The first one 7 years ago which went so smoothly and got me back to my active self ( tennis, hiking, etc.). Now I have had the 2nd one replaced just 2 and a half weeks ago and am doing so well on my rehab and coming along with another great recovery. I can not say more about how confident I felt with his expertise and thoroughness in explaining everything I needed to know to make the decision on when the right time was for the replacement. He did not pressure me but said 'you will know when the time is right.' We are so lucky to have him right here in G.boro.

I highly recommend Dr. Blackman. He explained more than I wanted to know about my surgery beforehand which calmed me down. He was there early on weekends to update me on daily results and before I was discharged he made sure to give me an out of town Doctor knowing I was going to rehab down at the beach. First class person and better Surgeon!

Dr. Blackman performed a hip replacement surgery on me in 2012. I have not had one moment's problem with that hip since then. I believe that he is a highly skilled surgeon and is truly interested in his patients' well-being. I will be having a second hip replacement surgery (on the other hip) by him in June or July.

I love Dr. Blackman. I trust his judgment & will continue to see him for all my ortho needs. My only issue is that sometimes I feel rushed & that he spends too much time talking & that he doesn’t always take the time to really hear me.

Dr Blackman repaired my shattered wrist several years ago, using 9 pins! The results were phenomenal: no restriction to movement whatsoever. I will forever sing his praises.

Dr. Blackman is very professional but personable at the same time. He kept me informed and explained everything that was going on with my knee. He let me make the decision after explaining the options. We decided to replace the knee and it's been the best decision I every made. Knees been great and no pain for years now. I will eventually need the other knee replaced and Dr. Blackman will be the doctor to do it. Thank you for the great care provided from you and your staff.

I am a 66 year old man who has been very physically active all of my life until the last ten years, due to excruciating pain in my left hip. Dr. Blackman performed an anterior hip replacement in February of 2016. My only regret is that I did not have the surgery sooner. I have been relatively pain free and have 100% recovered with recommended post operative physical therapy. Thank you Dr. Blackman for restoring my mobility.

Dr. Blackman performed a total knee replacement on me Dec. 2015 through a referral by the Veterans Administration. His support of veterans is commendable. He and his PA did a fine job on the surgery and post surgery followup. I am now using him for a medial meniscus tear repair in the future.
