Dr. Christopher Callahan, MD

Dr. Callahan did not appear to care about or have time for my concerns, despite few other people being in the hospital. He barely spoke to me and when he did it was brief and condescending. I didn’t feel I could get questions answered and realized from his summary that he had not listened to my symptoms very closely. I left with a “diagnosis” that was just the primary symptom I reported to the front desk. I was given generic printed paperwork at the end of the visit that listed symptoms I should look for which would suggest need for emergency care. I reminded staff that I was already experiencing all but one of these symptoms which was why I had come to the ER. I was still discharged and this concern was not addressed. Dr. Callahan decided my labored breathing, coughing, chills/sweating through my clothes, nausea, dizziness, being too weak to stand for more than a few mins & falls were just anxiety. I know that’s not true because I have a PhD in psychology with a specialty in anxiety.
