Dr. Christopher Chow, MD

Received a Cornea transplant from Dr. Chow for keraticonus. His staff mistakenly told me to arrive for my 3pm surgery at noon. i saw in a smock in a waiting room for 3 hours. During surgery pain medication stopped working, i could feel them poking and stitching my eye. i was screaming and asking for pain meds, he replied, it's only a little longer. During my follow up the next day, i was in extreme pain and could not sleep. My girlfriend asked if i was supposed to have any pain meds or other medicines after the surgery. The Dr accused my girlfriend of asking for pain meds. Follow up appts with Dr Chow were confusing. He would prescribe me a certain number of drops daily for my eye and each time i would return for an appointment he would tell me i was doing too many or too little drops and wasn't following his instructions. I started to bring in a notepad to write it down, and then would show him what he said and he would disagree he said a certain amount of drops. He's a liar

Dr. Chow and the medical eye assistant ( technician )explained everything about the tests and findings about the corneal edema and treatment. The reception staffs are also very nice.

SHAME on this office for having several people in the waiting room this morning, while I waited more than 30 minutes for my appointment. They ALWAYS overbook - I had hoped the wait would be less with everyone concerned about COVID. Clearly NO protocol here.

I have been seeing Dr. Chow for 11 years. My Ophthalmologist referred me to him when I had a serious infection in my cornea. I also have dry eye so I have continued to see him twice a year for that condition. He is always very friendly, warm, and gentle, which is important to me when dealing with my eyes. He fully explains the status of your condition and informs you of any potential future treatments you may need. He’s willing to answer all of your questions. He’ll even give you coupons for expensive medications if he has them available. I highly recommend him!

I have been seeing Dr. Chow for about 5 to 6 years, Dr. Chow is the most caring doctor I have ever been treated by. Dr. Chow is a example of what doctors should try to achieve for there patients . I have the upmost respect and highly recommend him as your doctor. J Ballenger

Dr. Chow is an excellent eye specialist doctor. He is knowledgeable, professional, nice and accomodating. I have no regrets whatsoever. I would highly recommend him.

I've been seeing Dr. Chow for keratoconus in both eyes. He seems caring and is willing to answer questions... .that is if you stick around long enough in the office to see him. The problem is the wait time at the Southfield office is ridiculous. I was scheduled for a 12:00 appointment and didn't see Chow until 1:45. He is routinely over-booked and behind schedule. If you can't grab an early morning appt, forget about it.

My teenage son was referred to Dr. Chow by our optometrist for a condition called keratoconus. Dr Chow was great! He took the time to explain the condition and treatments in a way that was clear and understandable to all of us. We are all very comfortable with him.

I was very nervous about my eye ucler and Dr. Chow had a great bedside manner and provided reasons for his treatment. I loved being a patient of Dr. Chow.
