Dr. Costa treated my husband at St. Joseph's hospital. He was able to give us answers that we have been looking for for months. He's an exceptional doctor and I feel very blessed that my husband was under his care. Loved his bedside manner.

Worst medical experience ever! This guy is a JERK! He is so rude, pushy, and has ZERO true concern about the patient. My daughter had the VERY unfortunate experience of being under his care, and all he wanted to do was PUSH HER OUT OF THE HOSPITAL as quickly as possible! She was so , so sick with mono and could not talk or swallow, he told her as he was walking away, "you're just unlucky". He would not let me finish a sentence, kept interrupting, and wanted NOTHING to do with her care.

In Jan 13, I was admitted to USJMC under his care as he was the hospitalist. He suspected that my "implant infection" was due to a "connective tissue disorder", and though he was in the minority (the only one) of several specialists who consulted, he stuck firmly to his belief. He was right. I was diagnosed in 2014 with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, a "CTD". I have wanted to thank him but could not remember his name until yesterday when I was filing paper work. So, thank you, Dr. Costa!

Worst attending doctor! He was very pompous & snooty, with a horrible bedside manner. If he is on call at the hospital, overseeing other doctors patients, his roll is to make sure the patients daily medications are right, they can handle any emergencies, (when the specialist isn't there) & follow the orders given. If I wanted to see a new family physician, I would have but that isn't why I was there. I saw him more than my specialist. He doesn't listen and knew nothing about my long-term issue.
