Dr Fukuda was AWESOME
Several appointments and a surgery with Dr Fukuda this year (2024). Dr Fukuda was very through and he took the time to explain everything before and after surgery. He was caring and competent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Not a good experience
An appointment for incontinence turned into a lecture that all my problems would be resolved by a low sodium diet and that a “VERY large woman” such as myself obviously eats too much sodium and by following a low sodium diet I could lose 35# in 2 months. (I’m a size 16, about the average for an American woman.) I tried to explain that I DO watch sodium intake & he said I obviously didn’t. He also made negative remarks about my wonderful primary provider, including that I should have previously tried meds for incontinence prior to seeing him. I won’t go back. My primary provider will manage my care.

Not good. Pompous, very non professional and rude. Were I to have another bladder tumor removal procedure. I would look for another surgeon. I have 0 trust in this person. Do yourself a favor and look for another Urologist.

NOT IF YOUR INTERSTED IN LIVING!
I was forced to this individual after my Urologist retired. I will NOT call him 'Doctor', because he does not deserve the title! On my first visit with a PSA above 10.... he did NOTHING! The second visit my PSA was above 15 and he did NOTHING....even when I asked if he was going to order a prostate CT or MRI. Third visit he spent more time telling me how great he was, and telling me that my problems would be lessened if I ate only a plant-based diet. At that time my PSA number was 24!! HE DID NOTHING! I left that appt and immediately started searching for a new provider.... and glad I did! My new Urologist saw the PSA number, and immediately ordered a prostate MRI, which showed a tumor, and after biopsies came back a prostate cancer. Had Fukuda done his job this could have been caught AND treated much sooner, and because of his negligence, it could easily cost me my life! This individual should be banned PERIOD!

Absolutely would NOT recommend
Likely the worst 'doctor' I have ever dealt with. With a very high PSA, that kept increasing with each visit, this individual kept blowing it off, even when I asked if he was going to order any 'scans'... he did not. I changed providers and was immediately scheduled for a prostate MRI by the new provider, the MRI results showed a 'Very high probability of clinically significant cancer'. This individual's inactions and indifference may very well have cost me my life! He should not be practicing medicine....anywhere!

Awful! This rude, pompous, sorry excuse of a doctor should not be your first choice if you are looking for compassionate care. He left SC and moved to MT from what I see. Please look at other review sites to see what some of his patients have to say. WARNING: He was a condescending jerk when I asked him to take some time to answer a question. His response to me: "I don't have time, I have a very busy schedule and have other patients to see."

This is my second office visit. The first visit I arrived 10 minutes early but waited over 2 hours for my appointment that lasted 10 minutes. I had surgery about 10 days ago that went well. Today I again arrived 10 minutes early and have been waiting for over an 90 to see the doctor - then the nurse came out and asked me to get a X-Ray - could have been doing this instead of waiting an hour doing nothing.
