Love him, but he needs better staff
So frustrated with his office, Dr Gibson saved my mom's life, we have seen every other Rheumatologist in eastern Idaho,. Her appointment was cancelled last week out of the blue, and when I spoke with Dr Gibson's manager Nicole she told me that he cancelled her appointment because of his mental health and that he is getting let go from the hospital. We cannot afford to lose someone like him here in the community.

Concerned
He was great at first but have had too many issues getting ahold of his office. That and medicines authorizations and so many excuses with scheduling and cancellations. There is a new rheumatologist in Idaho falls who does not have the psychology problems Dr Gibson has from reading online and talking with the friends I have who have similar issues seeing him. I am seeing to transfer myself and family to the new doctor in Idaho falls.

I have never had a doctor sit down and spend time getting to know me and my family. He is amazing and I know God has sent me to the right doctor and staff. Dr. Gibson spent over an hour getting to know me and making me feel heard and my concerns were important. He is amazing.

Dr. Gibson is so knowledgeable and intelligent and yet explains everything in layman's terms. He draws fantastic pictures to help with explaining and does this waving of the hands thing that is hilarious but helps get his point across. He knew exactly what my issue was and how to correct it quickly after many other doctors failed to do so. He obviously cares for his patients and their wellness.

Dr. Gibson deserves more than 5 stars. He truly cares about your healing and providing the proper care. He gave me a personal call after hours because he was so concerned about my care. If all doctors were like Dr. Gibson, the healthcare system would be better off!

I went to multiple other rheumatologists and dermatologists and Dr Gibson figured out what was wrong with me. I wouldn?t be here without him. Thank god for him and for not giving up on trying to figure out what was wrong with me.

Saved my life – Jan 12, 2025

Disappointed
Another appointment cancelled. First we were told that Dr Gibson was suspended and not allowed to see patients. Now we were told by the hospital that he is “ill and taking care of his mental health.” How is he allowed to practice medicine if he is mentally unstable? Shouldn’t the board of medicine be informed?.

He is a fantastic doctor. However last week or the week before my appointment was canceled because I was told by his hospital clinic that Dr Gibson was extremely ill and was having mental health problems and I was put on a waitlist for when he returns. This is a concern I have been hearing from other friends and family that he might not be coming back which is a shame because the community needs him.

Best rheumatologist in southeast Idaho!
He is a great doctor who really listens to his patients. He is well informed and educated in all things rheumatology. I feel like he genuinely cares about his patients. He took the time to make sure my concerns were addressed and we came up with a game plan for treatment. Now, he is VERY low staffed and the wait times can be long. His front office staff don't seem like they know what they are doing, but once you get in to him, he's fabulous! I don't think you could find another doctor that even compares to him within 150 miles.

My appointment was rescheduled several times and this is super frustrating for me because I need to get in to see my rheumatologist. When I started inquiring around I heard he is getting ketamine infusions for mental health problems. If he is going to poison his system with that filth I will be going back to Utah.

Dr. Gibson is the best, he is a professional who keeps up with the latest advances in rheumatology medicine and shows you research articles as to why he is making a diagnosis and the evidence behind the treatment plan. He has the best bed side manner and patiently explains everything. Dr. Gibson is so kind and attentive, and really does explain things thoroughly and made sure I understood why he is making the tentative diagnosis. My one complaint is that you can tell he is short staffed and runs behind schedule but that is more the hospitals fault for not giving him more help. I went to the Idaho falls location.

So grateful to have found Dr Chris! From the moment you step into the room you can tell he genuinely cares. My symptoms started 4 years ago, too early for bloodwork to show much apparently, so I have been shuffled around to different doctors to just treat or cover up symptoms or purchase expensive vitamins that didnt really help. Dr. Chris was the first doctor interested in the whole puzzle and putting it together. Even though he was telling me there was indeed something wrong with me, that Ill likely have to manage the rest of my life, I was so overwhelmed with gratitude and validation. I know whats happening, and its all related, and we have a plan. I have an advocate, other than myself, and I can rest in that. Thank god for him.

I have only seen Dr Gibson once. He was focused, listened, and asked good questions. He offered solutions I didn't know were available and other doctors I've seen never mentioned. Office staff was professional, courteous, and efficient. Wait time was a little long. Great first impression and overall experience so far.

I absolutely love Dr. Gibson. He is personable, empathetic, brilliant! He truly cares about his patients and goes the extra mile to make sure they are taken care of. He has helped me make several life decisions, was patient, and reassuring. I couldn’t ask for more. My friends and family are trying to switch to him as their doctor based off of my experience. Dr. Gibson was so great!!! He is very warm, approachable, and creates a safe space to discuss your health and concerns. He is also hilarious!! I needed a new rheumatologist since moving to Idaho and lucked out finding this hidden gem of a physician! I have told all my family about him and am trying to get him to see all my family members. He is very busy though and his staff seems a little overwhelmed.
