Dr. Christopher Godell, MD

I had a surgery 8 years ago i put in my history and he started off saying that it may have been cancerous. He said he may want to reevaluate it to check if it is cancerous. This is not related to my visit and he mentioned this point multiple times and he seemed like he was trying to make me anxious. I wasn't' I've had this checked before and I'm good. For my current condition I've had surgery which immediately relives my issue but he would like to try a steroid. I've done this in the past and it didn't work it only extends the pain I'm dealing with. I did not mention this but I asked why he would prefer this path vs surgery. When I asked this his face morphed into disgust like he would never expect anyone to question him. He immediately ended the consultation saying this place is not the right place for me. I agreed and left. His persistence to push the cancer narrative and the treatment path which would extend my pain seemed to me like he does not have an interest in curing but having a long term patient. I'm not interested in that and would not recommend him.

Caring Considerate. Thorough. Genuine smile. Found husband's colon cancer at stage 2. Came to see me twice while in hospital with nothing to do with gastro. Julie is a good PA also. So blessed to have found Dr 15 years ago.

He is so caring and thoughtful. Very thorough and makes sure you understand what he’s saying in layman’s terms.

Dr Godell willingly listens to all my concerns, and answers all my questions with an understandable thoroughness. He is so optimistic while holding a reserve for unknown changes, that can become an additional health challenge, due to new medicines that are a part of my treatment plan. His knowledge and experience gives me so much hope as I strive to stay healthy. I truly know I am receiving the best medical care from Dr. Godell.

Dr. Godell is such a caring doctor. He explains very well and listens even better. I had a recent diagnosis that was pretty frightening regarding a kidney mass. When I spoke with him to check out other parts of my body, he was kind, and truly concerned. He told me to call him, any time, to talk through anything that might be concerning me and ordered up other tests to make sure that there was nothing left to be worried about. That compassion really made a difference for me.

Since I have moved a lot I’ve seen many doctors around the country. Although I’ve seen specialists in places like LA, Chicago, Dallas, Houston where you’d expect elite medical care—I can honestly say that I haven’t found anyone better than Dr. Goddell. I’ll be honest—his practice is busy so you may have to wait for a scheduler or for an appointment. We are willing to wait for great restaurants or popular venues—why wouldn’t we expect the same for a truly world class doctor. Dr. Goddell is extremely smart, caring, and willing to work hard for his patients. His staff is professional and helpful. Highly recommended.

He takes the time to listen to his patients and makes sure that you understand his recommended treatments whether it be medication, tests, etc. We highly recommend Dr. Godell.

I don't have to see Dr. Godell very often (which I suppose is a good thing), but when I do he's always been very easy to talk with. He takes his time and will explain the options you have. That's why he's been my GI guy for a couple of decades now.
