I experienced a painful hematoma after having a phlebectomy that is a raised hard lump at the side of my knee. I am told that it may eventually go away and it may not. My two incisions are raised, sore and jagged lumps that are quite uncomfortable and unattractive even after two weeks. Sure the office is great and everyone is nice but isn’t the result of surgery the most important? I might be happy with it someday but not now. I never expected this result. I have had plenty of surgeries in my day and have always got much better incisions and never a hematoma.
