Terrible Treatment
I have been diagnosed with PTSD due to a procedure performed by Dr.Looney over two years ago. I can not express enough how terrible Dr.Looney's bedside manner is and would not recommend him even to my worst enemy. If you have an upcoming procedure scheduled with him, please reconsider.

I underwent a procedure to correct a collapsed lung. Dr. Looney neglected to give me IV sedation even though it had been ordered for me by my cardiologist. I was subjected to the worst pain I have ever endured. I was strapped down to the table, immovable, while he drilled a hole through my side and inserted a tube. In my opinion, he violated the first tenet of the Hippocratic oath: Do no harm.

I saw Dr. Looney after the ER had misread my ultrasound and sent me home. Dr. Looney took it upon himself to reread the ultrasound and called me the next morning to tell me that I needed an IVC put in immediately. He has performed a few Thrombolytic surgeries on me and they were successful. He is patient, kind, empathetic and funny. Turns out I will need to have my vein ballooned open every few months or so. I trust Dr. Looney to do this and whatever else needs to be done.

Always arrive 10 to 15 minutes early for my apptmnts. first time waited more than 3 hours. Second time 1 and a half hours. All the staff and doctors just say - this is the way it is. Unacceptable.

How can someone move on with their life as normal and call themselves Christians but would not come forward to say the true to our family about what really happen to our love one during a IVC Filter removal is been almost a year since we lost him and still no answer even after the autopsy report show what he really did to our love one. We can't bring him back but I think the love one wife deserve a little peace by knowing the true directly from Dr. Looney her life had change forever due to dr.

Dr Looney was extremely knowledgeable, compassionate and patient when explaining my condition and options for treatment. He truly cared about my understanding of the specifics of my diagnosis and how that related to which treatment option I chose to pursue. Since this included a huge lifestyle change (a 22 year career) he was also empathetic, kind and thorough in explaining all the options available. I greatly appreciated his candor yet tactfulness in approaching a very difficult subject.
