Although Dr. Mc Andrew was my doctor I saw his residents. I did not receive an explanation from him in regard to the tests and treatments that were prescribed nor was I given an opportunity to ask questions to him. When I did see him (once) I was not treated with basic respect or common courtesy. I was not viewed holistically and I did not feel part of my rehab team. I can’t explain how helpless I felt laying in bed unable to sit up crying and his response was I should not be mad at him because he did not cause my injury .Barnes is an amazing hospital and the nursing staff was excellent but I am dumbfounded by how he had no empathy and spoke down to me as a patient

I'm sure Dr. McAndrew is an adequate surgeon, but I found that he has very little concern for his patients. After surgery for a serious broken bone, I was in substantial pain. I was prescribed the minimum allowable dose of a pain medication, one every 6 hours. The literature with the medication indicated that if the medication did not alleviate my pain, then contact the doctor, which I did. His office responded that they could not help me, although the normal dose for the medication was 1-2 every 4-6 hours. I realize the dangers of opiate medication. I was given one every four hours when I had two previous surgeries, and I was able to stop the medication, like I have this time. However, I was REALLY in. pain and this doctor did not help me nor was he or his staff concerned about my pain. He does not concern himself with his patients much. When he ordered out-patient physical therapy, the order had the wrong diagnosis on it. I would not recommend this doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. McAndrew since May 7, 2017 when I was riding a motorcycle and got hit by a minivan that pulled out in front of me. I had several fractures in my legs, ankles & toes and fractured ribs. I have had several surgeries. The last one was on 11/26/2018. He has always been attentive, taking time to answer my questions. I have seen him before my surgeries and he even helped push the gurney into the operating room when I had my last surgery. I highly recommend him.

Awful. Avoid like the plague. This man SHOULD NOT be practicing medicine. No bedside manner, rude, unprofessional, insincere, insensitive and dumber than a sack of rocks although a sack of rocks has more personality. AVOID!

Happy he was able to do my surgey. His team got me ready for surgery the next day. I had a successful surgery in less than 24 hours after my accident I did not meet him prior to surgery or right after, who cares. I don't need a skilled surgeon to tell me I can't move for 8 weeks. I met him afterwards when I needed to see him. He should patients and took time to explain what needed to be done to get me back to 100%. Siteman is so convenient with several great parking options.

Poor customer service, poor communication, poor location, poor bedside manner. His office location is horrible, parking is too far away for orthopedic patients and very expensive. Dr. McAndrew needs to concentrate on being a doctor or being a teacher because he is not doing a good job of multitasking both. Would not recommend.

Dr McAndrews calls himself an orthopedic surgeon but who knows since he never shows his face before or after surgery. He keeps you waiting for hours in the office while while charging $5.00 a minute for parking.

There is no one I would trust working on me more than Dr. McAndrew. I had faith in every decision he made regarding my health. I was his patient for over a year and handful of surgeries. He is the best.
