Dr. McGowan and his staff are absolutely amazing! First of all, they are very responsive and supportive. Everyone I encountered was extremely informative. I did a lot of research prior to my procedure and I’m so glad I chose him and his practice.

Dr. McGowan was everything a person could hope for in a specialist. Professional, courteous, excellent bed-side manner and a made me feel like a “patient in need”. Most specialists I have encountered has a deep”god-like ego”. I did not get this vibe from Dr. McGowan at all! His staff, Tesha and Lauren, made me feel completely relaxed and they all showed genuine concern. They have continued to be accessible since my procedure! I would definitely recommend them.

I am a self-proclaimed research and data analytics maven! For the ESG procedure I researched the good, bad, ugly, and pros/cons for months. My options were to have the procedure done in Atlanta, Houston or my area - Cary, NC. I choose Dr. McGowan in Cary, NC at True You Weight Loss. I will admit that the Atlanta and Houston doctors were a little cheaper, as they were running specials; however, one cannot put a price on quality, kindness, and care. With Dr. McGowan and his team, I felt an instant connection. Everyone was so personable, professional and genuinely cared about my questions, concerns and results. The actual procedure was a breeze and the follow-up care and appointments have been informative and helpful. In the first week after the procedure, 5 days exactly, I lost 16 lbs. Dr. McGowan and Laura (Nutritionist) give me guidance on what is working and give accolades when recognizing my achievements. Laura also suggests alternative things to eat instead of pointing out wha

Dr. McGowan and his staff are absolutely AMAZING! So many times, visiting the doctor can feel cold and disconnected. The experience I had at his practice was the exact opposite. Leading up to my procedure, during, and now post-procedure, the communication and level of support have exceeded my expectations.

Staff were caring and professional. I do wish the doctor had waited to talk with me after the procedure until I was fully awake and responsive. I missed most of what was said and was unable to ask him any questions. Also, something must've gone wrong during my procedure causing a burning throat (stomach acid.) and sinus issues that have lasted 24 hrs so far. Some advice on how to handle those would've been helpful.
