Dr. Christopher Olukoga, MD

I can’t praise Dr. Olukoga enough! I went to him for a second opinion because I didn’t feel comfortable with the first surgeon I consulted with. Dr Olukoga took the time to explain why he thought that I had polyps and not gallstones (as the other surgeon was suggesting) and even searched for Google images to show me the difference between them. I immediately felt very comfortable with him and I am so glad I had him remove my gallbladder a week ago. I was scared since I was told due to a past tummy tuck they might have to make a larger incision but did an incredible job. I had to look twice to see my incision inside my belly button, and the other very small incisions are high enough that they won’t be visible under a two-piece bathing suit. I highly recommend this doctor! Thank you Dr. Olukoga!

Dr. Olukoga was a wonderfully caring surgeon from the start; he understood my issues and explained in depth not only what he would be doing surgically, but he explained what I would experience, how I could be feeling, the recovery, etc. Very in tune as to what a patient and patient's family may be feeling or worried about. Dr. O was recommended to me and I can see why his name was first on the list! His staff is also top notch and very caring and warm towards patients. And, he is the first specialist or surgeon that I think I have seen that was on time for my appts! I didn't sit and wait for 30-60 minutes to be seen by him. If you need surgery, I have no hesitation recommending Dr. Olukoga!!

Dr. Olukoga did emergency intestinal surgery on my husband who had much longer than usual colon which had become twisted and gangrenous. Dr. Olukoga happened to be on call that night. He saved my husband's life with his two hands.

One year ago this month, Dr. Olukoga repaired four abdominal hernias for me. I cannot say enough good things about him. He prepared me for the surgery, explaining every step. He contacted me the day after surgery to check on me and again the week after that. Everywhere I went in the hospital, other doctors and nurses would tell me how fortunate I was to have him as my surgeon. My recovery has been complete - no more pain and able to exercise with no discomfort.

Just a quick note of praise here for Dr. Olukoga, more affectionately known by his staff as Dr. O. I had been suffering incisional hernia discomfort for a year due to a prior surgery, but could get no definitive answers.My search for answers led me to Dr. Olukoga, in Winter Park, FL. Dr. O had impeccable and numerous reviews wherever I looked. I could not have selected a better surgeon. There are literally no words to describe the treatment I received from Dr. O, his entire staff, his surgery team, and the hospital. They all went well above and beyond anything expected of them. He communicated all that the surgery would entail, and reassured me on multiple aspects of it. Dr. O is an EXCELLENT surgeon.The procedure was very complex. It was a 10 hours long laparoscopic robotic surgery. I am still in recovery for the next three months, but already I can see and feel a huge difference from before surgery. Thank you Dr. O, for giving me my life back. If I could give him 10 stars, I would.

Dr O is AWESOME!! He’s very caring, never in a hurry to answers all you questions, and makes you feel like you are his only patient!!! I would HIGHLY recommend him for all your surgerical needs!! HE’S THE BEST!!!

I researched hernia surgeons intently after having two failed surgeries in 2021. I had one more shot to get this right and I would not take recommendations from family or friends any longer, I wanted the best. After exhaustive searches on the internet, I found Dr. Olukoga. I read his reviews and they were impressive. I decided that a visit was my next course of action. When he walked into the exam room, I felt an overwhelming feeling of composure and tranquility. My previous surgeon stated that if my second robotic surgery was not successful, the next time they would have to "open me up", the thought of that terrified me. After my initial examination with Dr. Olukoga, he said he believed he could do the surgery robotically but could not be 100% sure until he got into the operating room. My surgery took 8-1/2 hours, mostly because he was cleaning up the mess from the previous surgeon. After the surgery, no pain and 30 days later, still no pain! This surgeon is REMARKABLE!!!

My husband has an extremely complicated medical history and he pretty much presents as a "unicorn" in most emergency situations. Finding a doctor who is patient and willing to listen is hard to find, especially during a pandemic. Dr. O is an exceptional physician who treats his patients like family. His compassionate bedside manner and knowledge of his craft make him a remarkable surgeon. Our family is so thankful to Dr. O and his entire medical team.

From the first time I had a consultation with Dr. Olukoga to the present, which is now 3 days after my hiatal hernia surgery, I’ve been glad I chose him as my surgeon! He is everything a doctor should be: educated, experienced, knowledgeable, capable, caring, concerned and not in a hurry. He listens attentively and responds in a way that is understandable to any lay person. I would recommend him highly to anyone looking for a skilled surgeon. And, as a plus, he’s really nice, has a good sense of humor and is down to earth! Thank you, Dr. Olukoga, for giving me back a life without pain!! No more antacids and no more Famotidine twice a day! I’ll be forever grateful to you!

Feeling better than I have for years

Dr O was spot on with his diagnosis from the beginning and corrected 2 issues that I’ve been dealing with my entire life so I am grateful. He was recommended by my ER doctor and that was a great call, thank you Dr. O! Hopefully I won’t have to see you again but if I have another issue you will be the first when I call.

Dr. O is a great doctor. I had gall bladder surgery 2 weeks ago and it went perfectly. He has a great bedside manner! I would highly recommend him.

I needed triple hernia surgery and did extensive research in looking for an experienced surgeon with great reviews and ended up with Dr. Olukoga. I am very pleased with the whole procedure, from the time he took to answer all my questions, explain the procedure, to the results of the surgery. There was one of Dr. Olukoga's discharge instructions to the hospital staff for my release that was overlooked when I was released, but caught in time and worked out fine.
