Excellent care and staff, compassionate
Dr. Ritter was patient with my research, hesitation for a total ankle replacement at a "young age." He answered all my questions and I had a lot of concerns. Dr. Ritter, Shane Griffin and staff provided excellent compassionate care with timely communication as needed. More than six months into rehab complicated by other issues on the same leg, I remain optimistic that my mobility will bring me back to a better quality of life. I chose Dr. Ritter because of his experience with total ankle replacements. It was worth the drive. Excellent team. I am looking forward to a normal life standing, working, hiking and sailing without daily suffering. Re: the questions below, the office wasn't fancy, but that's ok. I understand they are moving to a new facility in the summer of 2023.

Offered no real solution for my issue and told me that he doesn't understand runners because he hates running. Told me to find another sport or form of activity to do. Seemed generally apathetic throughout the whole visit and couldn't even point me to someone who could potentially help me.

Excellent repair of my broken and dislocated ankle. I was referred by another ER when they GAVE up on a plan to even stabilize the break. REHAB was delayed due NONE weight bearing status of the fracture. Doing well 2 years later.

Not a patient but the son of a patient. My father was operated on by Dr Ritter twice, and twice was sent home with no blood thinners even though his condition merited them. The first time he ended up having to be taken to a nursing home to recuperate and receive blood thinners. The second time he died of what we believe was a pulmonary embolism. Can we prove it? No, mom didn't want an autopsy. But I know a 69 year old male, well over 300lbs, with little mobility, needs blood thinners.

I had a bunionectomy performed on my left foot in July 2014. (NOT by Dr. Ritter). I had nothing but problems, pain, and discomfort. I made an appointment with Dr. Ritter-and decided on corrective surgery. I cannot praise Dr. Ritter enough! The shooting pain I use to have in my foot is gone. I do not feel pain while standing, like I did before. I would give him 10 stars if I could! Everyone I came in contact with at UBORTHO was pleasant and compassionate. Heather, Shane, and Jenn were GREAT!
