Severe Nerve Damage
Dr. Christopher Rothman pulled my lower 18 molar under sedation on October 30, 2023. When I left the procedure half of my tongue was numb, part of my chin and all the teeth in front of the tooth her removed was numb. I was in constant pain since the surgery and even now on May 15, 2024. I was told by his technicians that this can happen to “mature” patients. Two days post surgery Dr. Walter Wilson found a dry socket which I thought would solve my pain. It didn’t. I went back to Dr. Wilson two day later in tears and he said I looked fine and just take OTC pain killers or heavier prescription drugs. I choose to take OTC. Having this tooth removed has been debilitating, life altering, I’m in constant pain and could be facing surgery. When I asked Dr. Rothman on my one month follow-up did he have a hard time pulling my tooth, and his response was, “I don’t remember.”

Nerve Damage
Dr. Christopher Rothman removed #18 lower molar on October 30, 2023. From day 1 post surgery, half of my tongue is numb, all lower teeth near extraction are numb and part of my chin. I have been in chronic nerve pain - severe for a month and a half - since the surgery as of today April8, 2024. For a month and a half I could not sleep because of the pain and even had to use a wheelchair because I was so weak. This situation has been debilitating and life changing.

I believe Dr. Rothman is a very competent doctor. Unfortunately the office support needs some help. Took a personal check by to pay for dental services in advance. The office uses Telecheck.com to verify checks. I have an excellent credit rating, have never written a bad check and this one was good although for several thousand dollars (nobody ever said oral surgery was cheap!). Telecheck declined the check because it was for more than the checks I usually write! They never checked my bank but did ask me endless identification questions. I'm pretty sure 99% of the population is not in the habit of writing checks for thousands of dollars! Dr. Rothman, if Telecheck cannot approve a perfectly valid check--what are you paying them for? I would fire them immediately.

I was very impressed with Dr. Rothman and his staff! I had very little wait time. The Dr. explained the procedure in terms I understood and was very compassionate. Weslynn and Page were great nurses. I highly recommend this office.
