Diagnosed During Very First Visit
On my first visit (March 2016) he diagnosed me with what I had been battling for a good portion of my life. From that point on I knew I was in caring and compassionate hands. Following non-invasive attempts to resolve my condition, we began to look at alternative means such as surgery. His calm demeanor and professionalism led me to surgery which indefinitely cured me of my condition.

Dr. Skidmore is very direct and easy to understand. He listens to what you're saying as a patient, summarizes it, and then gives his recommendations based on your test results, his exam, and your discussion. He is easy to talk to, and respects his patients as people. Dr. Skidmore is very knowledgeable too, and there is a reason he is at the top of his field.

Dr. Skidmore is outstanding in experience, knowledge, educating not only patients (me), but also those that are younger medical professionals in his field. He takes time to discuss questions or concerns that you may have, and simultaneously talks practically to you from the medical professional side as well. He is a great physician.

Dr Skidmore has cared for our son (now 46) for over 10 years- He has been with John through several surgeries as well as all the trials & uncertainties that epilepsy brings. He has been caring, candid & honest, explaining the pros/cons of every treatment, recommendation and surgical procedure. His staff reflects his wonderful attitude of "being there for his patients" and in times of emergency, we have always been able to get assistance. Our son is so fortunate to have Dr S. on his side.

Need some papers signed? How about a refill of your prescription? Well Dr. Skidmore is WAY too busy to help his patients. Never experienced anything like it before. Any time I needed anything from him, he was too busy to do it within 2 weeks. Most times it took calling every single day for 3 weeks at a time for anything I needed. Even just getting a signature took a month. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

My experience with Dr. Skidmore was horrible. He's rude and uncaring. Test after test he said he couldn't help me. He kept dosing me up with medications, and still no help. Did my research, found a Neurologists who cared, and knew what he was doing like a doctor should. Put an implant in my head which was available while I was Skidmores patient, and I was never told. My seizures are more under control than ever! On the right meds, and so HAPPY I NEVER have to see him again!!! It's been 2 yrs.
