Dr. Starr is fantastic. I've been going to him for at least 7 years now, and he's really helped with my dry eyes. He preferred Xiidra for emulsive drops to Restasis, simply because Xiidra works faster than Restasis, but warned me about the strange taste Xiidra leaves in your mouth; I couldn't shake it and asked to switch to Restasis, which he agreed. He also warned me years in advanced about using rewetting drops in the twist cap bottle, and lo and behold, this year there's a big lawsuit about that! His staff, however, can do with some manners: the women who do the exams before seeing him are not friendly and also will weirdly push you into certain answers? Like they want to help you cheat the exams and/or change your answers. It's bizarre. I suggest power through those odd women and stick with him - you won't regret it! P.S. he is open about his personal dry eye diagnosis and how he also uses Xiidra, which is comforting to patients!

Horrible dr
This Dr does not care. I went for an exam and told them I get sick from dilation. They said I had to be dilated to see the Dr..They asked no questions. I got very sick from diation naseau headache flu like symptoms..This office does not care about patients well being It turns out I was diagnosed with a condition which would contraindicate dilation I thought dr took an oath to do no harm. This Dr is the opposite. Worst experience

I am very grateful for the care and surgical results provided by Dr. Starr. Eye surgery is a stressful prospect under any circumstances, but the quality of care received was excellent and the results have been excellent.

Dr. Starr is an excellent surgeon. I recently had my second cataract surgery during Covid and the experience was surprisingly reassuring with many protocols and well trained staff. I highly recommend Dr. Starr and his team.

I was referred to Dr. Starr by a prominent Opthamologist in NYC who felt I might need cataract surgery. My opthamologist in the suburbs, where I had moved, thought the same. After many tests by his staff, Dr. Starr examined my eyes thoroughly and determined I did not need cataract surgery. What a relief. He carefully explained his reasoning to me and asked me to return to see him when my eyes were not dilated so he could try to determine the difficulty I was having in one eye. I left his office confident that his diagnosis was 100% correct and that he would determine what was the cause of vision trouble in my eye. I could not be happier that I was referred to this highly skilled and very kind doctor.

Dr. Christopher Starr has done cataract surgery on both my eyes. The second surgery was on October 9, 2019. I healed quickly and had very little discomfort after surgery. Most important, I now have 20-25 vision in both my eyes. There are patients who will carp about staff not responding in a timely matter but I assure you that the most important thing is having a truly successful surgery. That requires a great surgeon and Dr. Starr is absolutely the best.

Waiting for over 90 minutes to even be taken back to see the tech. When I checked in, they said everything was on time. Then they kept telling me I would be seen in a few minutes. This went on for OVER 90 minutes. Very disrespectful way to treat patients.

Dr. Christopher E. Starr is fantastic!!! He is an exceptional ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon. I have been his patient for four years and he has provided excellent eye care each step of the way. He recently performed complex cataract surgery on my right eye which was very successful. Thanks to Dr. Starr, my vision is now excellent and I feel extremely fortunate that he is my ophthalmologist.

I had two recent cataract operations with Dr. Christopher Starr. The outcome perfect! Very pleased. Also a good team surrounds Dr. Starr. Same can be said for the hospital: NY Presbyterian. All office visits were on time and well organized.

What a great apt well worth traveling from Albany, NY to NYC. I have had a left eye issue for about a year and a half my regular eye dr was trying to work with me and left eye but after my last encoutner he was very sorry and polite and said I give up. He sent me to some one else in Albany whom was terrible rude, nasty, takes no time with his patients. I called Weils told them my issue the apt lady right away says I have Dr. Starr he is whom who want and wait time for new apt not months away.
