I had surgery on my left knee for meniscus. He did a great job. Good care and good post surgery attention.

I saw Dr Untch for long-standing knee pain that I had managed with alternative care for about 20 years. He explained all treatment options in my initial visit & supported my choices throughout. From PT to hyaluronic acid injections to a cortisone shot to eventual TKR. He was great in the hospital, and I am happy one year post-op! He's smart, kind, & thorough.

Dr. Untch did total knee replacement on both of my knees, 11 and 8 years ago. I have had no problems with the knees at all. They work perfectly. He was very understanding of my being a crybaby but still made sure I was doing what I was supposed to do to completely recover.

Suffered a compound fracture to arm along with a dislocated shoulder. Went to Dr. Untch one day after injury. A reduction of the dislocated shoulder in his office, w/o success. To ER that same day where he attempted a 2nd reduction - success. A office visit a week later showed the shoulder dislocated - ER for a 3rd reduction- ??? results. Dr. Untch referred me to another surgeon who said 'most complicated surgery he ever performed'; surgery 26 days after injury. I suffered in immense pain !!!!

I previously saw Dr. Untch at DMAFB and was always treated so well. When he retired, I was happy to find him working the civilian world. It was a broken arm/shoulder injury and he gave me good advice, and I don't think you will find a doc that takes better care of his patients.

I had emergency surgery with Dr. Untch while in Tucson on a cycling holiday to repair a compound fractured clavicle. I found him to be extremely caring, knowledgeable and discussed the procedure in enough detail so I could understand it. Even though the surgery was completed after 1 am, he was up to check to see how things were going first thing the next morning. With my brief time with him, I would highly recommend him and in fact I wish I could come back and have him take the plate out.

I believe Dr. Untch is a good doctor, nice with patients. Unfortunately I had to follow up with 2-3 phone calls to his MA regarding every bit of paperwork I that needed to be filed. I complained to the office manager and he said the doctor often takes a week to do his charts. My surgery was 3 months ago and I'm still waiting for the MA to fax paperwork to my insurance otherwise I have to pay it myself. Be prepared for chasing up every thing you need with several phone calls,
