Dr. Christopher Vasil, MD

Dr. Vasil has always shown me a professional caring and interested in my health issues. I am well pleased with his expertise and knowledge.

I had seen a few other doctors at SALEM FAMILY MEDICINE. One retired that I had seen for several years. I had a lot of confidence in him. The next doctor was really great but had to cut back on the number of patients due to some other duties. The next doctor left after a year. Now I am with Dr Vasil and so far well pleased. I have only seen him once but he was really nice and listened to any of my concerns. He has helped me dial in on a few things I had been debating for a few years. He was not pushy but listened to my concerns and we mapped out what I believe will be a good plan.

A year ago I lost my physician of 15 years. I tried another Dr at this location that was unusually unkind and passive aggressive with me. I went to my previous nurse and asked about Dr Vasel. She said he was nice but didn't elaborate. When he came in right away I felt his unkind tone and felt talked down to. I listened and gave him information. They say it isn't what people say it is the way they make you feel. I felt berated shamed and guilty and I had done nothing wrong. The more he talked the more I disintegrated I felt and was melting like a puddle on the floor. I finally said that I was sorry I had upset him just to get him to stop. I couldn't wait to simply leave and get on with my day. A lot of people have left this office including my nurse so I am definitely leaving and going over to Baptist. Many of my friends have been encouraging me to do this for some time. He was the straw that broke my back.
