Hernia Surgery
I was treated very well by the whole staff. Felt very at ease with Dr. Watters and felt very confident about him when deciding to do the surgery. He is down to earth and helps take away the anxiety.

Great outcome from an experienced surgeon
As a retired RN I highly recommend Dr Watters for hernia surgery. He communicates well, tells you what to expect and follows up closely. I’ll definitely seek his skilled approach again should I need surgery in the future. Remember—knowledge, experience and skill are what you want in a surgeon- Dr Watters exemplifies these characteristics.

I found Dr. Watters after one surgeon said my lumbar hernia was too difficult for him. Then I was referred to another hernia specialist surgeon that I never heard from after he was sent 2 referrals and I left a message on the answering machine. As my symptoms were getting worse by the week and fear that I could not find a surgeon before I got into a medical emergency, I called Duke Hospital and was scheduled with Dr. Watters within a week. I was relieved that Dr. Watters did not flinch about his abilities to do the surgery. Due to it being so large, he wanted to do robotic surgery, so we had to wait 6 weeks for an available robot. However, his office worked hard to find a surgery date within two weeks. I am in home recovery with quite a bit of pain where the hernia was coming out of my side, but each day is better with less and less pain. I am forever grateful for Dr. Watters abilities and experience to save my life and get me on the road to recovery.

Dr. Watters did my hernia repair. I cannot say enough good things about the process. From first contact to my final follow up visit and everything in between with Dr. Watters was remarkable. Office visits, never had to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting area or inside the room for my appointments. His professionalism put my mind at ease from the start. He and his staff explained he everything to me and if was truly a flawless process. Great communication! One of the best medical interactions I've experienced in my lifetime. If you're in need of abdominal surgery/hernia repair look no further. You'll be in great hands with Dr. Watters and his practice.

Exceptional Surgeon and Team
SKILLS, ETHICS and COMPASSION are some very pertinent words that any medical professional should always embrace. After scheduling Laparoscopic Inguinal Hernia Surgery with Dr. Christopher Watters, I saw and received first rate treatment from Dr. Watters and his staff. Their office were accommodating, friendly and completely transparent, I was indeed very impressed with the entire process. My interaction with Dr. Watters was a personable one and his knowledge and bedside manner instilled a high level of confidence that I was in good hands. The surgery went very well and once again, my faith in America's Healthcare system is upheld, it is the best! Thanks again Chris for the care!

One exceptional surgeon
TRUST, ETHICS, SKILL and COMPASSION are some very pertinent words that any medical professional should always hold close to the vest. After working in the healthcare field for over 28 years, I have experienced the good, the bad and the unfortunately, the worst. Since moving to NC I no longer had all the right people to help guide my choice of competent medical providers, which is not a comfortable place to be. Fortunately for me I had a phone conversation with a woman at Duke Raleigh who recommended Dr. Christopher Watters over the surgeon who was previously chosen for me by the ED Physician. The staff in Dr. Watters office were very organized, accommodating and completely transparent, I was very impressed. More importantly my initial interaction with Dr. Watters was a personable one, his assessment instilled in me a high level of confidence that I was in good hands. The surgery went very well.

Dr Watters performed my cholecystectomy (gall bladder removal) right before Christmas. He is absolutely wonderful from his bedside manner to his skill as a surgeon. His front office staff and the RNs are highly attentive and professional. The office clinical nurse manager, Ginny, answers questions promptly and has a confidence that immediately places the patient at ease. It’s a month later and I’m feeling absolutely fantastic. No pain or residual symptoms. Laparoscopic incisions healed beautifully. I’m able to eat pretty much anything, my energy is back and I’m exercising daily. A special thank you to the front office receptionist, Julianne, who secured an appointment for me when I was in a considerable amount of pain. I so appreciate it. ?? ps: Watters kept me overnight, which I found out is standard procedure for him. Don’t let that spook you.

I have had two hernia surgeries performed by Dr Watters, each of which were very successful and pain free; no complications. His office staff were exceptionally helpful, courteous and caring. Dr. Watters provided all the pre and post op information that I needed and more. I do not believe that I could have had a better experience. My highest recommendations

My inguinal hernia was a large one. I obviously benefited from Dr Watters' exceptional skills and extensive experience. After my laparoscopic surgery, I did not even need to take any painkiller. 4 days after surgery, I had absolutely no pain left. I would like to thank Dr. Watters and his staff (nurses and admin.) who have been exceptionally nice, professional and helpful. This was my first surgery ; I did not know that surgery could be such a painless and straightforward experience !

Dr. Watters operated on my husband and although I am a bundle of anxiety, I was put very at ease by the experience and competence of this surgeon. He also has a sense of humor in his professional manner which put us at ease. Our experience was as good as surgery can be. He also kept him overnight and cared about things like nasea which made me happy that my husband felt pretty good even right afterward. I am very happy for the great care.

I drove for nearly three hours just to get this appointment, and once there I encountered nothing more than an overzealous, ill-mannered, seamstress who advents himself as a professional surgeon. Yet, what I and my children witnessed was nothing short of an ill mannered seamstress who indulges in sewing flesh and has a bad demeanor. I have the same problems of pain, labored breathing, intermittent fevers, and a hernia, as it was before the initial surgery. He needs to be reported!

9 months, a scar and a bill and I still have the same condition. Arrogant guy who insisted that he knew what it was -- but he didn't. It's back in the same place (under the scar he left me). Don't use this guy.

Dr. Watters performed my lap chole. I had been misdiagnosed for a number of years, but he confirmed my suspicions that it was indeed my gallbladder and had me scheduled for surgery within a week. He and his office staff are wonderful. I never waited more than 7 minutes for an appointment. I definitely recommend Dr. Watters.
