So Sorry I took My Father to Him
A co-worker recommended him to us. Took my father to see him and after the second visit I knew he had no idea what he was talking about. All Whitty, sorry can't call him a doctor, wanted to talk about was his own Father. I told my brothers we were never going back, and we didn't. Save your time and money and find someone else. Never listened to that co-worker again.

If only I could leave a star review lower than 1
I was in Beaumont Trenton for dizziness, shortness of breath, and heart issues. All tests were coming back normal for heart. I have MS, explained my past issues. Asked if he had followed up with my Nero and MS Specialist. His comment was "those doctors don't answer the phone". He stated that i didnt have any new leisons or active ones. Asked him if he compared my MRI to my last one from MIND (michigan institute of Nerological Disease). He said no need to. I explained what I thought was going on, possible MS hug or relapse. Dr. Whitty said no such thing as MS hug. Dr. Whitty was completely dismissive in anything that I had to say. Asked for an MRI of my spine to rule out possible relapse/active leison on spine. Said that it was completely unnecessary. When pressed further told me not to come back to Beaumont maybe go to the hospitals that my NERO goes to. Then added oh wait those doctors do not do hospital rounds. If you have MS i would find a new Dr. ASAP. No concern for patient

Said I didn't have a neurological problem
Started with slight tremor in my hand, Dr Whitty decided it wasn't anything neurological. Went to U of M who told me it wasn't Parkinson's but it was neurological, they said Drs there know about 20% of patients that have unidentified Neurological problem like me! Having other symptoms popping up now. Having a Doctor tell you it isn't anything without checking more first tells you why I WON'T go back

Rude, disrespectful & obviously not well informed. His opinion & comments were those from the early 70s. Made comments about everything accept for why I was there. When he finally asked the right question as to why I was there all he could say was, "oh" while staring at the floor & then walked out of the room. I had a bad fall & hit my head so my physician referred me to him for an evaluation. I am having memory issues. I also have fibromyalgia & skin cancer. Don't waste your money. It's very apparent he has some personal issues himself.

Dismissive and unprofessional. If you treat patients like an inconvenience, why are you a doctor?

We have been seeing Dr Whitty for years for my daughters Epilepsy. He’s been wonderful- he really cares about her well being. There is usually a long wait in the lobby- but when you are in the treatment room you get his full attention.

He's nothing but a hack doctor. I'm so disappointed with my visit. He may have an MD, but he's NOT a doctor in my opinion. Stay away from this guy and get the help you need from another neurologist.

My two visits were horrible. The front desk staff is just as horrible. Very rude and definitely not an ounce of empathy. The receptionist is rude and just very unprofessional. The doctor is a clone of the receptionist. When being questioned by the doctor he made me feel like I was making up all of my symptoms. I left out today in tears. It took all of me to get through my appointment and not leave. I feel that they do nothing to help clients just refer them to other specialists and write scripts and take peoples money. Today I had to pay 116.00 just to be read my mri. This could have been done over the phone. No future appointment was made and when I told him about my migraines he gave me air quotes when referring back to them. I’ve been diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia and I wouldn’t recommend anybody to go there for any service. When waiting to check in there was a caregiver there checking out his wife and getting her instructions and the receptionist was super rude to him as well

Wished I had read reviews before I saw Dr W. Never introduced himself or asked me my name or used my name. Only looked me in the eyes once. Said my MRI was fine spine looked good but would not look at disc I brought with me,said radiologist already did that. In my experience radiologist can be wrong that's why I came with disc for consultation. When he found out my chiropractor sent me for consult he actually snorted. Said I could get nerve testing done in his office but never had an opinion on why I have numbness in groin and leg.

Took care of my husband after being admitted to hospital by ambulance after having a seizure for the first time. Ran all tests needed, explained all results. Set him up with all doctors needed. Great bedside manner. I would recommend him to everyone

Misdiagnosis, 1st time, then 2nd time. 3rd. Time. I don't recommend, doesn't seem concerned or when something's happening he isn't ordering what needs to be done for neurology. MRI/CT etc.

I was very unhappy with my visit w/Dr. Whitty. I expected some answers on what to do for the nerve ending damage in my chest area due to an accident. Thought maybe there were some tests he could do. He just ran his finger down my spine, made me walk with shoes off & said I don't think I can help you. Also recommended I get a breast reduction??! I couldn't believe what I was hearing. He charged $199 for that 5 minute assumption. Oh also said I should go to an ob? Meant obgyn! Never again!

I wouldn't take a cat off the street to this "Doctor." He is strictly there to take your money and does not care about you or want to take the time to look into your problems. He is very quick to push you off to someone else and in a very rude manner. Please save yourself and your time and see another Neurologist.
