My husband had a recent surgery by Dr. Christopher Wigfield MD. The need for surgery was discovered during a review of his imaging done by Dr. Wigfield and his colleagues. Dr. Wigfield is so kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. He LISTENS! He explained everything so well. He answered all our questions and we never felt rushed. Everything was so well organized and went as planned. Emily Paige RN BSN, Care Manager, Navigator for Dr. Wigfield is the BEST! She called every few days to check in on us and addressed any concerns we had. She is a sweet girl and perfect for the position she is in. The care at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center was excellent from admission to discharge. The nursing care on the 6th floor was great. We felt so well cared for and really appreciate Dr. Wigfield and his team. They are wonderful people giving the best of care to their patients. We can’t thank everyone enough!

The absolute best
Dr. Wigfield is the best doctor I’ve ever worked with. He is part of the team helping my brother with issues around lung cancer and we both agree he is the best, most genuinely caring, doctor and his knowledge and experience are evident in every meeting we have with him. It is such a relief to know my brother is in good hands with Dr. Wigfield.

Dr. Wigfield was one of doctors who took care of my husband, who was critically ill with Covid pneumonia, during his stay at UPMC Altoona. He is an excellent Thoracic Surgeon with an outstanding skill set! He went ABOVE and BEYOND in making sure that my husband was getting everything he needed in order to heal properly from his surgery. We were very impressed, and felt extremely confident, with both Dr. Wigfield and his Physician’s Assistant. We highly recommend him and are very thankful and will be forever grateful for all he did for us!
