Absolutely genuine!
I’ve been seeing Dr. Chu for over 10+ yrs until present, she has done ALL of my surgeries she was once at the Pearlman Center in Phil. Relocated to FCCC & I followed her to that location. Why? Bc she’s a good Dr. I didn’t want to see anyone else so I travel to see her yearly for my check ups. Dr. Chu is the BEST!!!!!!! Thank You for caring abt me and being a cool person that you are. Forever your patient.

I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer in 2018 after experiencing some light postmenopausal bleeding. I had experienced similar bleeding in the past, and it was always found to be benign. Unfortunately, this time it was not. But fortunately, I opted to be treated at Fox Chase and Dr. Chu was my surgeon. The cancer was discovered early (stage 1A) and surgery took care of it. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Chu. I was very anxious at my first appointment, and she made me feel that everything would be ok. The surgery was minimally invasive, and I had a smooth recovery. I feel very fortunate and grateful that Dr. Chu was my doctor.

My first encounter with Dr. Chu was during a second opinion request (From Me) for treatment of my Cancer Diagnosis. At the time of our first appointment I was extremely withdrawn and very distraught due to a very severe injury that occurred during surgery from a previous medical facility. She was warm and attentive of my concerns and assured me that her and her team at FoxChase could provide the BEST treatment for my cancer diagnosis and injury. Together Dr. Chu and Dr. Richard E. Greenberg (Urologist) of FoxChase organized a treatment plan and future surgery just for Me. I can not speak enough about Dr. Chu and her professionalism as an OBGYN Oncologist and my personal Savior!! The phrase "Where you start your TREATMENT" speaks volumes when it comes to Doctor Christina S. CHU!! She is THE BEST!!!

Dr. Chu has been my oncologist since May 2019. Diagnosed with Stage 1C, Grade 3 Ovarian Cancer which is a "clear cell cancer , a very aggressive cancer - high risk cell type, high grade tumor. Total hysterectomy, 5 Chemo treatments. Dr. Chu has always been thorough, asked questions, answered my questions, blood work, mammograms and checked on my latest tests from Jeanes Hospital when I was admitted on 8/26-27/21. I am very comfortable with Dr. Chu.

My wife had Stage 1 cancer localized to her uterus. Dr. Chu performed a full hysterectomy and said after surgery that she thinks she got it all. However, during a post-op app Chu mentioned in passing that there was spillage into the pelvis during the surgery – need I say more. My wife then went through many months of chemo but to no avail as my wife passed away and this all occurred under Chu’s watch. In addition, if we did not ask questions Chu basically had few words. She has zero bedside manners, never provided any encouragement, flip-flopped a number of times, and always seemed like she was in a rush during our appointments. Near the end in the infusion room my wife (who rarely complained about anything) said something to a great nurse that will always stay with me and probably the nurse – she said “I feel like Chu gave up on me”. Oh, and Chu never called or sent a card to give her condolences which speaks volumes. I am hoping someone will benefit from this review.

Dr. Chu performed my surgery just a month ago, and I can't say enough good things about her. She was the only 1 of 4 gyn oncologists that I visited who took the time to explain my options, and wasn't immediately pushing for a hysterectomy. She knows her stuff. She won't pull her punches, but she will also put you at ease. Can't ask for more than that -- and she has a great team.
