Dr. Cindy Sondag, MD

I’ve been under the care of Dr. Sondag twice, for extended periods, in the Sanford Health inpatient EDU. I have many complex health issues alongside my eating disorder, and Dr. Sondag is not only compassionate, extremely knowledgeable, and willing to find solutions and offer help, but she does so while making sure patients feel safe in her office and care.I appreciate her tendency to not mince words when firmness is neeeded. Working with the ED population, especially in a place like Sanford, where a lot of patients have been dealing with these disorders for decades, requires a delicate balance of firmness and empathy and compassion, and I am SO grateful she does that perfectly. Sometimes chronic EDs need to be told as it is, AND she also considers each individual’s ability to respond, and tailors her approach as best can be done to accommodate each patient.Her medical knowledge is vast and extensive, and she is always looking for and learning the latest things. 10 of 10 recommend

She is very nice and caring. She knows a lot about health and psychiatry. I recommend her. The front desk support staff who check you in for your appointment with her are not that nice though.
