Dr. Claire Edelman, MD

I have seen Dr. Edelman for my prenatal care and delivery for the duration of my high risk pregnancy. Shocked to read a review stating she is unempathetic because she has been so empathetic to me throughout my pregnancy! After 2 losses I was an absolute worry wart and she was so accommodating and never dismissive of my concerns. Also, I didn’t think it would matter to me what doctor delivered me at the end, but I am so thankful that it was Dr. Edelman. She was a great cheerleader throughout my pregnancy and delivery, listened to my concerns, explained things well, looked into concerns and questions I had and discussed them with me. 10 out of 10 will recommend her to any of my friends in search of a knowledgeable and thorough OB!

Saw her as my doctor was out of office for the week. She came in to the patient room and started by criticizing my delivery choices without asking me any questions or considering my medical history or current situation. She then proceeded to advise me on my next steps based on my ultrasound which was the exact opposite advice from what my doctor and the normal back-up doctor I see when my doctor is away had advised me. A quick Google search in peer reviewed scientific journals also supported what my doctor and another doctor in the office recommended. Poor beside manner and poor medical advice makes her a doctor to add to your DO NOT SEE list.

This doctor gets 2 stars because she was very knowledgeable. However, the concerns I brought up during my appointment were entirely disregarded. She told me to just exercise more. When I told her I bike for an hour 5 days a week she told me to lift weights lol. She also didn't refill my prescription when I asked. She did not say there were any issues with doing so.
