More Experience Needed
I took my child to the ER for stitches, and while the staff reassured me that the medication would minimize pain and help my child remain calm during the procedure, I was concerned about the level of preparation. During the prep, the doctor seemed unsure and frequently asked the nurses for clarification and assistance. It was disheartening to witness another doctor having to guide her step by step. Hearing her say, 'I poked too far,' was particularly upsetting.
