Digital pain

49 years ago, I was a normal, active, healthy five year-old. Then I woke up one morning and fell out of bed because I couldn't walk. My parents rushed me to the doctor, and I was lucky enough to be seen by both Dr. Crooms and another doctor, Dr. Broome. They diagnosed me with a massive infection that settled in my right hip joint. If they did not operate, I would have gone septic, and if they did not act quickly, I might not have been able to walk without difficulty in the years to come. Thanks to Dr. Crooms' competence and expertise, I had my right hip drained and spent 10 days in traction with antibiotics, and had no ill effects following my surgery-- I was off and running once I got back home! After my hospital stay, I never needed PT or the use of the tiny crutches I was given. I have Dr. Crooms to thank for likely saving my life. I doubt he remembers me or my case, but I don't think I ever had the opportunity to truly thank him then. THANK YOU!

I was fortunate to meet Dr. Crooms last week and he is fantastic. I am having an issue with my knee and Dr Crooms found the reason. He answered all my questions and worked with me on a treatment plan.

I had pain in my shoulder and scheduled a visit with Dr. Crooms. I thought I'd need surgery but Dr. Crooms is an advocate for physical therapy before doing something invasive. He is great handling patients and truly is interested in how one feels. He listens, rather than talks. It's refreshing to find a physician who goes by the old tried-and-true approach to patient care.

Dr Crooms is a phenomenal physician with deep knowledge of his specialty. He is also gracious and personable. I highly recommend him!

Dr Crooms askes lots of questions and does a thorough physical probing exam. Then x-rays followed by conclusions. Now I have a baseline for the ever-worsening knee arthritis. He does not “push” surgeries, but tells you when it may be needed. I highly recommend him.
