Multiple visit issues
After my 2nd appointment in 2 weeks, I started asking some questions about other options to figure out my vision problems. He did not like that. He then asked if I had thyroid issues which I have had for over 20 years. I said yes. I also filled it out on my history page that they ask you to fill out at check in. I guess he did not bother to check that. He walked out of the room and didn't come back. Very unprofessional. Would not recommend at all.

Best Eye Doc and Surgeon East of the Mississippi!
A week before Christmas, I saw the doc as an emergency patient. Tests showed the pressure on both eyes was nearing the point of causing permanent blindness. He gave me drops to help reduce the pressure but scheduled me for emergency laser work on both eyes the next day. Friday, he Zapped both eyes to reduce the dangerously high pressure. He scheduled me for emergency cataract surgery Mon. morning in case Friday's laser didn't work. He came into the office Sat. on his day off just to check the pressure on my eyes. They went from over 40 to 14 & 9, very safe. He rescheduled my surgery for 1/31 & 2/14. He had scheduled a weeks' vacation beginning Mon. morning to drive with his son to South FL to celebrate Christmas with family. But he was willing to delay his trip to do my surgery if needed. I've never encountered that kind of patient dedication. To come in on Saturday just for me and delay hid family vacation for a few hours showed the kind of caring doc he really is.

Stay away - this place is horrible. Had my first appointment with Dr. Fletcher in July for a problem with chronic watering from my right eye. He explained the ducts appeared to be clogged that generate tears and to try warm compresses and Systane eye drops and to come back in September to follow up. Well, today was my appointment at the Davis Highway office. After waiting an hour for my name to be called to go back, I was pulled aside by the nurse telling me that the Doctor didn't want to see me because he had wanted me to have a visual acuity test prior to an appointment. I explained I was here for a follow up but no concern or care was expressed for that. Dr. Fletcher did not even have the courteous to see me for 5 minutes after I waiting for an hour for my appointment. Both he and the staff were so unprofessional and uncaring. I went downstairs and demanded my co-pay back. That will be the last time I will frequent this rude practice.

Actually, a negative star. Went for a check with detached retina symptoms. Dr. Fletcher completed multiple tests and stated that the fluid had detached from the retina and that was normal for people over 60. He scheduled a field of vision test and waited a week for results after test. He stated that my husband had glaucoma. Dr. Fletcher seemed irritated when questioned about his findings. So, we went for a second opinion now 4 weeks after the first first. Guess what, he has a torn retina in 2 places. I pray that the procedure that was done by the second doctor takes care of the issue.

Dr. Fletcher has always been straightforward when asking questions. There was only one time that he seemed to be abrupt and very short with an answer. I returned several weeks later with a follow up appt. At that time, he apologized for being abrupt previously. I think most doctors today, whomever they are, don't have the quality time to spend with most patients as their time is used by filling out paperwork for the government and very little time for the patient. I will continue to stay with Dr. Fletcher.

I agree with the others, except for the MD. He is condescding, dismissisive and irritable. He has no patience for patients. He is offended when you ask questions and treats you like a you are an idiot if you are fearful for what is happening to your eyes. I would never go back to him! It is a shame because the staff is very professional and friendly and the facility is a nice clean environment.

Dr Fletcher did my left eye for cataracts. Had nothing but problems. Had to go to office one Day because the pain in my eye was so bad I couldn’t stand to open it. Went back another time and he stuck a shot in my eye with steroids. My left eye is worse now then before the surgery. Blurry everyday and most ever day it hurts to even cut my eye to the side. Got another Dr. to do my right eye and have not had any problems. Wish I’d never seen Fletcher.

Dr. Fletcher was unprofessional in my first visit with him. He refused to treat me because I was inquisitive about the information he gave me. He was very rude to the point I reported his behavior to the office manager he then advised me she had to "honor" Dr. Fletcher's request by refunding my copay and advising me I can not be consulted by Dr. Fletcher or any other Physician at the Center for Sight. I have never felt so disrespected and unfairly treated by the any Professional in the medical.

Performed cateracted surgery on both eyes. Very bad pain in left eye. Shadows and ghostly figures in boith eyes. He told me to find another doctor. I did and new doctor said first doctor put both implants in at about 20 degrees out causing problems. Went to 2 more eye docs. and they said bad job I WILL NOT RECOMEND him to any one. He has caused me many problems with my eye sight.
