I have always found Dr. Markowitz to be professional, interested in what I had to say, while being engaged in what I was reporting to him as we reviewed how I was doing. As such, I was able to form a very supportive relationship with him, and as he prepared to move me to the Avonex pen, I did not question his decision; knowing full well he had my best interests at heart. I trust his decisions implicitly, and have recommended him to others who have been diagnosed with MS. He is one of the best.

Dr. Markowitz was dismissive and abrupt from the moment he walked into the exam room. He seemed uninterested in listening to my concerns, and seemed as if he had already made up his mind about my case before he even spoke to me and took a history. He was very condescending and almost nasty. At least as far as I am concerned, he was not up to Penn doctors' otherwise excellent standards. I was shocked by his behavior and question his professionalism.
