Dr. Colin Crosby, MD

I arrived expecting an experience and capabilities close to Andrews Sports Medicine and thought I might save some travel time since my cervical surgeon had retired. Unfortunately it was below what I normally receive at the orthopedic clinic in nearby Paducah, KY. At Andrews, the doctors welcome higher risk cases. According to his PA, he doesn't perform surgeries with even one minor risk factor. Not sure if she meant Dr. Crosby or all of Elite Sports Medicine. We never got to the point of discussing the other 3 factors. I normally expect some confidence or arrogance in a surgeon because they need confidence. His PA was more arrogant than any surgeon I've met. Having played 12 years of football, I've seen quiet a few. Also, the facilities were not even close to those at Andrews. Now I regret putting myself through the pain of making a trip requiring 5 hours total in the vehicle and my wife stopping me from walking out 15 seconds after the PA entered the exam room.

Dr. Crosby and staff could not have been more professional and accommodating!! As a result of their overall approach they made a difficult situation much easier - and the surgical outcome has been fantastic!!

I was referred to Dr. Crosby with a very severe back problem. After all of the scans necessary to get a full picture of my problem I met with the Dr. and we had a discussion of what he had found. It was worse than I had expected and a very complicated case. I explained to the doctor that I had always considered myself to be a strong person and that despite my age I wanted to be able to maintain an activity level to allow me to be able to interact with my grandchildren for years to come. One of my main concerns was that because of my age the doctor would not want to provide the level of care I desired but Dr. Cosby listen to me and planned a surgery that would give me the best chance to improve my level of activity as much as possible. Being retired from the medical field I can appreciate the level of sophistication the surgery required. I have since had the surgery. As can be expected there were a few difficult days in the hospital following the surgery, however I am extremely pleased

Found Dr Crosby to be highly professional and knowledgeable. Found him to be a listening Dr who takes the time to find out what is going on from the patients perspective. He is very thorough and took the time to explain what was needed.

The people at Elite take excellent care of me. They are always kind and understanding with me. Dr. Colin Crosby is a great doctor and Amy, his PA is wonderful. I appreciate what she has done for me so much. Rachael in the section taking care of my FMLA and Short Term Disability is always on top of things and very knowledgeable about the process. Dr. Colin Crosby is awesome. Great bedside manner. You know that he is listening to your concerns based on his actions. The staff is professional and friendly. Overall Elite Sports has some of the best doctor's in Nashville.

Excellent communicator. Stays in touch. Actively engages the patient in the treatment plan. I have worked closely with physicians for my entire career, and I find him to be competent, caring, and accessible.

Dr. Colin Crosby did my back surgery, and my family and I could not be any happier. There was NO pain in my hip, leg and foot immediately after surgery. The whole experience was pretty incredible. I told Dr. Crosby before surgery that I was so thankful for him and had been praying a lot about the surgery and success! He asked if he could pray with us! To have your surgeon pray before your operation is the most humbling experience you will ever have. For us, that moment is frozen in time. Spinal surgery is intimidating even when you have faith. Dr. Crosby and his staff are incredible people who take the time to let you know that you're not just another patient. I cannot believe I can go through the day without pain; it's crazy wonderful!! I would recommend Dr. Colin Crosby and his staff to anyone who is contemplating spinal surgery.

Dr Crosby has a top notch staff working for him. He himself has proven his exemplary professionalism and caring side. He respected and listened tentatively about my chief complaint. He, his highly educated and knowledgeable staff were able to carefully assess my situation and present clear and efficient plan of care, involving me in every decision. Dr Crosby and his staff have my recommendations.

Dr. Crosby is 5+5=10 He is the real deal. Love that man.

Dr. Crosby listened to me at every visit. He worked with me to try everything possible to avoid surgery, such as physical therapy, steroid shots, etc. After a year and a half, my symptoms did not improve and I chose to have a micro discectomy. There was no pressure at all from Dr. Crosby. He allowed me the time and informed me of all the choices I had every step of the way. Highly recommend he and his staff.

Dr. Crosby and his staff are awesome! He takes his time and really cares about his patients. We always go to Elite Sports Medicine even though it is two hours from where we live. I was in a car accident and have had terrible back pain and Dr Crosby took great care of me as well as providing support for our concerns. I highly recommended Dr. Crosby and Elite for anyone needing an orthopedic doctor.

He was my second opinion option after my first choice was going to release me to return to work and my back was still broken as well as broken ribs that the other so called surgeon completely missed. As a retired physician, I know what it takes to be worth 5 stars and Dr.? Crosby would get 10 stars. He is personable, knowledgeable, truly interested in his patients and kind - to everyone. His staff is just like him. As a technician, Dr. Crosby is superb. My back is better after his surgery than it was before my accident. Remarkable. He is one of the top physicians I have known in my life.

I was very fearful and in terrible pain. A friend referred me to Dr. Crosby. I can not say enough about the incredible care I received from Dr. Crosby and his team. His team provided amazing care and compassion during a very stressful time. Dr. Crosby and team preformed a laminectomy/discectomy for a ruptured disk. I am 6 months post-op and feel great. I would recommend to anyone!!!!!!!!!
