I wish I would’ve read reviews before seeing her. I started seeing her 3 years ago and since then have been on over 12 different medications for anxiety. Most of which were off label drugs that did not help. The office staff does not return calls or emails despite “emergency” situations. For over a month I have tried to contact her/her staff regarding medication issues and to make a new appointment and no one has called me back. The wait time for appointments is terrible. She called me for a virtual appointment at 6:00 PM one time when my appointment was at 10:00 AM. At first, she gave the impression that she cared for her patients but now I think the opposite is true. Seems to be more about the $$ than the patients health which is sad for a doctor in this field. She also put me on a brand name drug that cost me $1500 to fill and told me they “will send a coupon”. Which they never did.

I was struggling pretty badly with OCD. She quickly got me on Prozac, which I think was the right call, but then she prescribed an antipsychotic medication, which I think is much more severe than what was necessary. I didn't end up taking it, and through therapy, I've improved a lot in my symptoms. Also, with most appointments, I'm able to see the nurse practitioner at the scheduled time. After we finish, I'm usually waiting 30 minutes or an hour before I hear from Dr. Blanchfield. (Granted, this is for telehealth appointments during Covid - not sure if this is an issue in office)

Dr. Blanchfield is a gifted psychiatrist, who is proficient in pharmacology and she exceeded other psychiatrists in that regard. Her bedside manner was genuine and Dr. B was invested in both my mental and physical health. The 1issue was the wait time, which was too long. I stopped seeing her for some time, but decided to return and it simply never felt the same. I am unclear why, but the disappointment has been difficult and I've not seen another shrink since, not meant as blame of Dr. B.

Dr Blanchfield is a brilliant doctor. She is both a psychiatrist and a neurologist. I started seeing her because the of a few failed trials of psychiatric medications. The first meeting I spent 1 hr w/nurse then I spent 45mins w/Dr B. Follow up was 35mins w/nurse and 20mins w/DrB. She took at look at what all I had tried and somehow put the pieces together and figured out what I needed to do. Thanks Dr B! I graduated and am doing great. Front staff was helpful and manager was always professional

Dr. Blanchfield was extremely knowledgeable, considerate and caring. I felt extremely safe with her and immediately felt that I was in good hands in her care. My initial interview/session was very thorough and comprehensive. I felt that all aspects of my health, both physical and mental, were addressed. Additionally, Dr. B plans to work closely with my therapist as a 'team' to ensure I get the appropriate care. I look forward to working with her and her team.

I was referred to her by another of her patient's and I have been thrilled with her scientific approach and professional compassion. She has always explained her rationale but never been condescending. When I asked about therapy she said " We need to get your chemistry balanced so that therapy can have a chance". As soon as I was stabilized on my medications she insisted that I start therapy.

She is the worst kind of psychiatrist. She is arrogant and thinks that drugs, not therapy are the solution to any mental health disorders. She prescribed Adderall to my mother who is bipolar, despite my mothers protestations because she had previously been on this drug and it totally destabilized her. This lead my mother from a place where she was in a mild depressive state to completely suicidal and erratic. Dr. B refused to accept it was the drugs and would not take any responsibility.

Dr. Blanchfield is unlike any other Psychiatrist I have been treated by. I have had a long history of needing medical care for my condition and it was hard to find a medicine that works for me. I began seeing Dr. B 5 years ago when I had gone off my medicine and it was a rocky road. I have been stable now for over 2 years and it was through many sessions of trial and finally success that I feel myself again. I cannot say enough about her comprehensive approach to mental health care.
