Dr. Corey Mayberger, MD

I waited 2 weeks for my first appointment with a psyschiatrist ever. They tell you to register for their portal and fill out forms. Their portal would not show me the forms or let me send a message. On the day of my appointment I am waiting in their patient portal waiting room 10 minutes early and at 10 after my appointment they cancelled my appointment. After calling in and waiting on hold for 10 more minutes, its now almost half an hour past my appointment they tell me I need to reschedule...with a doctor I have never seen before. No thank you. You have showed how bad your business is so no I am not wasting anymore of my time here.

I can see why some people may not like Dr. Maybergers bedside manor (maybe some mistake him for a counselor), but I have nothing but good things to say about my interactions with him. I have a hard enough time scheduling appointments with how much I work. He is direct, to the point, and doesnt waste my time while still hearing out my concerns and making sure my current medications are doing their job as far as dosage and outcome. I have never felt rushed he has always heard me out and made sure he did everything to educate me and answer any questions. I cant speak for everyone but I am quite happy to work with Dr. Mayberger.

This guy is a bad doctor, lacks personality, and empathy. Talks condescending to his patients, as if you are below him. There are way better doctors out there than him.

After 20 years on two medications, he decided on my third visit that he disagrees with more than 10 doctors who have handled these prescriptions for me since the World Trade Center attacks. He told me to "Find a doctor that handles Anxiety". That is a direct quote. And anxiety is a psychiatrist's job. This physician is in the wrong field. Also - he cancelled my appointments 2 times and refused to refill my prescriptions in a timely manner, causing massive withdrawal effects.

I found Dr Mayberger to be very affable, caring, easy to talk to, attentive to my points and concerns and responsive. He helped me identify problems, set goals and helped me get the additional help I needed. I always left feeling much better than I did when I came in. I recommend him highly.
