Dr Tan saved my daughters life
While Dr Tan was on maternity leave, she was called in as my nearly one month old daughter who was born with TOF was continuing to have her blood ox levels dropping and was rushed from her cardiologists office via ambulance to cardinal glennon for emergency surgery. Dr Tan came in an operated on my daughter into the late hours of the night, saving her life by temporarily repairing her heart until she was big enough for a full repair. She recently performed a 2nd (planned and scheduled) surgery to fully repair hear heart now that she is bigger and we had an amazing expierence (as amazing as heart surgery on a 5m old baby could be). It is hard to trust your baby with a stranger and with open heart surgery no less but I would trust her again in a heartbeat. Thanks to her for sacraficing her time with her baby, she saved mine.
