Several people told me how friendly she is and she is the best. Now I am saying that to people. I feel very comfortable with her.

Dr. VanBeek is not only an excellent surgeon. She is also a good listener, compassionate and empathetic person. I felt like we were friends. She called me the day before my surgery to check on me and also checked in an hour or so after I got home the next day.

Positive atmosphere during consults. Total interest in getting the patient back to good physical health. Clear and informative explanation of your issue. Efficient staff.

Excellent surgeon who listens carefully to any concerns you have. She answers them honestly and in-depth. I will be using her again for my surgery in my other shoulder as well!

Coming from a non-successful previous doctor's rotator cuff surgery, Dr. Vanbeek did a reverse shoulder replacement on my right shoulder which had to have been the easiest surgery I have ever been through. My recovery was well over expectations and have almost full recovery of my right arm. My range of motion is almost of a normal arms range of motion. Dr. Vanbeek's skill and concentration is high on the scale of precision and accuracy when it comes to surgery. I can't thank her enough and am hoping surgery of the left shoulder goes as smoothly as this one.

Fantastic experience - highly recommend Dr VanBeek. She was punctual, direct, realistic and my surgery/recovery went exactly as she predicted.

My physical therapist said I should make a follow-up visit with her. I did. And she blurted out the second she walked into the room, one finger at a time, screeching, "Injection?! Physical therapy?! Pills?! Or surgery!" PICK ONE!!! I was stunned beyond belief. (I found out that evening that the PT's report suggested a rotator cuff tear which apparently challenged her frozen shoulder diagnosis.) In Exam Room 1 you can't bolt out of the room with an ego as big as a Buick blocking your path. Thanks. I will live with the chronic pain, whatever its' cause doesn't much matter to me.

Second time using Dr.VanBeek, Successful Shoulder surgery. Now be treated for another injury. Discussed my issue, listened to all my questions. Was very pleased seeing her again.

i am a health professional and therefore I can be more discriminating than others. Dr. Van Beek is a superior MD. She is knowledgeable, and informative. She explains everything and prepares one for whatever they need to undertake to correct their problem. Her warmth, care and concern, and interaction with the patient is exceptional. She ensures that you understand the problem, best treatment and spends whatever amount of time is needed to educate you. Her staff is warm, kind, helpful, and very professional. I have had many visits with her and have never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be taken in. She will be doing a shoulder replacement for me in January and I feel as though I have the best possible surgeon to do this. It is difficult today to find a physician that meets such a high criteria in all areas but Dr. VanBeek does.
