Excellent neurosurgeon
I have been a patient of Dr. Pendleton's since 2021. She diagnosed and performed surgery on a bulging disc I had. She has the very best bedside manner and explains everything thoroughly. She is kind and educated. I trust her completely. I have spinal stenosis, spinal athrosis and my L4 and L5 discs are slipping. I will eventually require a spinal fusion operation. She has discussed this with myself and my husband for the past year. I am excited that she has decided to stay on Long Island as I do not want anyone else to perform this serious operation on me but her. I highly recommend Dr Pendleton to anyone.

Horrible, don’t go to her for treatment
Horrible person. Would not recommend to anyone. Extremely rude, arrogant, dismissive, and condescending to my family member. Someone who should not be taking care of patients. This is not a criticism of her surgical expertise, it’s a criticism of her as a human being. No doctor should behave that way. What a terrible experience.

I will never recommend Dr. Pendleton.
Prior to having surgery we (my husband) and I met with the doctor. This review has nothing to do with her skill as a surgeon but the almost nonexistent, dispassionate aftercare. My husband had his surgery in July 2022. He met with her one time afterwards and had an appt. for early February. This appt. was cancelled by the doctor due to her vacation plans. The new appt. was for March. January 23rd he was in extreme pain. We went to Stony Brook E.R. After X-Rays, CT scan and MRI it was determined he has severe spinal stenosis. Two of her colleagues came to the room and told him they were sending him home with a script to control the pain and to call to make an appt. with the doctor in a week. I picked up the script and was surprised there were only twelve pills. He called for an appt. and was told maybe FEB. 14th. Okay, but I will need more pain meds. No sooner appt. and said she would not prescribe any more pain meds. He is a 74 year old man in pain. Her response was dismissive.

Unfortunately Dr. Pendleton put my mom through 2 back surgeries leaving with her horrifying results. My mom had a spinal fusion and the nails and rods are coming out of her spine and almost through her skin. We moved states and now my mom has to have 2 correction surgeries to undo what Dr. Pendleton did. Dr. Pendleton is nice, warm and friendly but completely inexperienced when it comes to complex procedures.

You won't be sorry putting yourself in Dr. Pendeltons care. So smart and so lovely. Special mention must be made to her staff. Especially Nidia who was so patient with all our questions and the guidance we needed.
