Dr. Cook performed a laparoscopic repair for my inguinal hernia 2 weeks ago and I am very pleased. He actually found a second hernia on the other side and a third umbilical hernia and repaired them all during the surgery. The recovery has been quick - I had difficulty moving around and some pain the first 3 days, but after that it gets better quickly. His nurses are very nice and did a great job preparing me and helping me recover. I wish I could have visited with Dr. Cook more... The only time I saw him was a brief chat right before the surgery. However, I am completely satisfied with his service and highly recommend him to anyone needing a hernia repair!

Dr. Cook's surgery was great. It has been 9 months and I am very happy I had him fix my inguinal hernia. It was very large. I was scheduled to get it done in North Carolina. I was concerned that the NC doctor wanted to leave the hole open and put a large mesh over the area. Thus leaving the area numb. My friend's daughter-in-law who is a nurse recommended Dr. Cook. I talked to his nurses and they talked to Dr. Cook about my situation and my concerns. He said that most women don't need mesh and he would try his best to avoid the nerves. He gave me a worst-case scenario as well. My last hernia left me with no feeling in the area. I felt good about it. Plus all the time the nurse spent with me and she and the doctor answered all my questions. I am very happy I had him do the surgery. I also had to self-pay and doing it in Utah was so much cheaper overall. Dr. Cook and his office are very helpful and they did all they could to answer all of my questions.

Dr. Cook spent time with us explaining everything, answered all our questions, and we never felt rushed. We are beyond impressed with this amazing team! After an ultrasound confirmed a hernia, I researched hernia repairs to know what to expect. Laparoscopic repairs were the most common and most desired, over open surgery, and it was repeatedly stated just how important the skill level and experience level of the surgeon are to ensure a successful, long-lasting, complication-free repair. Thus, based upon his plethora of stellar reviews and extensive experience with laparoscopic repairs, I chose Dr. Craig Cook. My surgery was very pleasant, if one can describe a surgical experience that way, and the staff and environment at Central Utah Surgical Center were wonderful. During my entire post-surgical recovery, I required no pain meds, as the discomfort was minimal and infrequent, which I believe is a major testament to Dr. Cook's expertise. He has an amazing support staff, from his nurse, Melissa, to his NPs, Christie and Jory. They were professional, knowledgeable, and very attentive to all of my questions, needs, and concerns.

Dr. Cook got me in for an emergency surgery for my appendix and he was so reassuring and kind! He did an exceptional job and even removed a cyst that I had no idea was there! 10/10 would recommend!

He was very kind and concerned about my well being. Cares more about what he can do to help than the dollar signs. I appreciate his conservative attitude about healing so you don’t feel like he is rushing you through.

Dr. Cook was very easy to speak with and answered all of my many questions before and after hernia surgery. He and his team did an amazing job and were very kind. Dr. Cook and his staff and assistants are awesome! When I came in, I met with Jory Sorensen and he knew everything about my history even though I had never met him before.
