I was fortunate to receive care from Dr. Devinney
I was fortunate to receive care from Dr. Devinney in the high-pressure environment of the ER at John Muir Medical Center. He was kind, listened attentively, and provided an insightful diagnosis. His confidence and ability to handle ongoing responsibilities were impressive. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor.

Dr. Devinney is amazing
Dr. Devinney is amazing. His dedication and kindness towards patients are exceptional, and he consistently prescribes the most effective treatments. My son T., a senior at De La Salle, is thrilled to have met him. A few consultations with this remarkable doctor helped T. overcome his anxiety, panic attacks, and trauma. Dr. Devinney is a natural healer and a miracle worker. We fully support his promotion and wish him the best in life. May God bless him and his wonderful family. We hold him in the highest regard!

I do not recommend this physician. I went to the ED with increased shallow breathing, weakness, and numbness at recommendation of my rheumatologist and suspected neurological disease after positive cryoglobulin results. Dr Devinney says he has never heard of cryoglobulins secondary to neurological issue. Dr ripped off my blankets and hat (keeping warm being my only defense from cryoglobulin damage) and threw them across the room. Spoke to me very aggressively and dc’d me after seeing me for 5 minutes. For the next week I had extreme increasing respiratory distress and I didn’t go to the ED as he and his RN, and SW told me not to. Dx today by oncologist with myasthenia gravis and being in myasthenia crisis.

Horrible! This is by far the worst emergency room experience I have ever had. I was having unusual heart rhythms, which he did not identify on the EKG, blamed it on anxiety, and left a note about how I had already been to see other providers about this same issue. (In fact, they had sent me to the emergency room because they were concerned!). A cardiologist subsequently reviewed the same EKG and identified multiple issues. Dr. Devinney also noted in his visit summary that I did not have a prior history and also did not have a family history, both of which were untrue. - He hadn't even asked! If I can help it, I will NOT go to this emergency room again. Thank god they have a second physician review EKGs and then post results online, otherwise I would not have identified the issue.

He’s awful- even if you ask for someone else they will lie and force you to work with him. Go to another hospital.

Awful! Ask at check-in that this doctor is not your doctor or call the hospital supervisor and ask that Dr. Divinely is not your doctor. He is awful! Go to Stanford or UCSF.

Came into ER with in my underwear after injuring my rib. Super intense pain. I ask for just a simple injection of licocaine or a lido patch.. because i literally cant walk. He came in the room for 10 seconds and left. Prescribed ibuprofen which i cant take because of my ulcers which i told the er about. They wheeled me to the lobby and said good luck and was acting like i was a punk because i was in intense pain. They musy make judgements about people before they know the facts. Im not an addict

Terrific doctor able to diagnose and treat a dear friend who arrived at the emergency room in the early hours of the morning with symptoms of a heart attack. Dr. Devinney called to make certain that she was continuing to feel well a few days after he saw her. Reassuring and clear.
