Dr. Hampton made me feel comfortable
I had 2 weeks to prep prior to surgery day. Dr. Hampton and his team definitely made me feel comfortable and confident that everything will go as planned. He is was compassionate and caring even during my 7 day stay after surgery. Definitely one that has still has bed side manners. Would recommend Dr Hampton and his team again for any heart issues in the future. Thank you for saving my life!

I went in with a whole page of questions and every one of them was answered to my satisfaction. I felt listened to and was comfortable to ask my questions. I did not feel rushed and I felt valued as a person not just another surgery patient. I appreciated the straight answers and clarifications if needed. I left feeling confident in my choice of the physician to perform my mitral valve repair surgery.

Just the best : )
You know, I haven’t even met him yet, but 3 days ago he performed a triple bypass on my husband David, and I knew from experience that time in which he and his team accomplished that was amazing. When I couldn’t meet him after the surgery, he called and explained how well everything went, gave me many important details, but the compassion with which he shared the information, and the questions he asked to make sure I was doing okay, was pretty extraordinary. And has still made a huge difference for me many days later. What a brilliant surgeon and yes, extraordinary, human being.

Dr. Hampton replaced my mitral valve by minimally invasive surgery. My recovery time was quick and I was able to do light gardening by the end of the 3rd week after surgery and resume morning walks by the 4th week. I feel better now than I did even a couple of years ago and I am no longer tired and out of breath when I climb stairs, lift heavy items or try to walk long distances. “Reassuring” is the word I would use to describe the sense I had during my pre-operation appointments with Dr. Hampton. He was confident. He answered my many questions and he treated my concerns as important as I felt they were. Dr. Hampton clearly explained my options and, as a result, I was most comfortable going forward with my surgery.

I’m 78 years old and was diagnosed with a severe tricuspid valve regurgitation which caused shortness of breath and extreme fatigue. On February 3, Dr. Hampton performed a minimally invasive thoracotomy to replace it with a biological valve. Before the surgery, He thoroughly explained the procedure, answered all my questions and explained the risks and expected recovery time. It has been about 6 weeks from my surgery and I am almost fully active again with no shortness of breath or fatigue. I highly recommend Dr. Hampton.
