I don't feel like he really knows what was going on with my body. I needed him to fill out some paperwork, but in the paperwork he stated that i could not do my job, which i can. Told me my labs were normal, but keeping on the medication, which does not make sense. Telling me i am tired from other things, which is not the reason why i am experiencing the way that i feel. Left his office feeling depressed and discouraged about my health!

Thorough and listens attentively
3 of the 4 of my families members used Dr. Lowthorp, some of us multiple times. I have always found him to listen well, explain his thoughts and concerns, examine thoroughly and ask many questions. I never felt rushed out of an appointment. On numerous occasions he took the time to research concerns I had and to take the time to explain things to myself or my child. There was even an occasion when I brought up my thoughts on an issue my daughter was having and he researched it further, after hours, and called me to discuss it. I am heartbroken that he left the practice and will continue googling him until I can find where he moved to.

Good man, Good Physician
I went to see Craig because all the other physicians at the group were unavailable. Craig showed consideration, listened attentively, asked pointed questions and explained what his concerns were, and showed a great familiarity with medicine and a great practice philosophy. I can't say I've always felt listened to or cared for by physicians or care providers, but Craig truly did seem like he was willing to take the time to provide genuine, quality care.

"I was attracted to Family Medicine because I am able to care for all patients…” That’s straight from his bio on NewWest Physician’s website and it couldn’t be any further from what my significant other and I experienced today. I myself am a medical professional and simply shocked and appalled by the care that he offered. Or lack there of. She, my fiancé, has been battling chronic Lyme disease for 6 years. She just moved to Colorado and wanted to find a PCP that would help order lab tests to track just where the Lyme disease is. The one thing I respected of him was him admitting that he doesn’t know much about Lyme. That’s ok as we just want someone to order tests as we can read them ourselves. (I cannot order the specific tests from my field in medicine). After a brief case history he said “because you’ve tried all these treatments and have had any improvement I think it’s all mental and should be tested for mental health. I’m thinking stress or anxiety…”. At least make an effort

Was assigned to this practice after my regular provider dropped out of the network. Been there since 2018 and had to jump through a bunch of hoops to transfer medical records which I found out have since been misplaced. Saw Dr Lowthorp for a physical because I got transferred to him. At my physical he didn’t ask much questions about my history so I reminded him I have several serious conditions to monitor. The nurses were annoyed that he ordered tests that they didn’t know how to do. When tests were done he was frustrated I contacted him to ask questions as the nurse who called didn’t know what the test results meant. He told me I was unrealistic in my expectations that he reviewed my chart before seeing me and had no idea about my medical history despite being at the practice for several years. He suggested treatment that my file showed was a failure multiple times and when I questioned it was suggested I seek a provider who treats people who have chronic conditions.
