Disappointing Experience
My appointment lasted nearly four hours, with over an hour spent just waiting to be seen. The overcrowded waiting room made it clear that the office severely overbooks, showing little regard for patients’ time. When I finally met Dr. Marcus, he was unfriendly, extremely rushed, and came across as condescending. While he may be knowledgeable, his bedside manner was severely lacking—he seemed completely detached from his job. Instead of providing reassurance or empathy, he dismissed my concerns, put words in my mouth, and made me feel like my questions were a waste of his time. At times, it even felt as if he was blaming me for having glaucoma.Dealing with an irreversible disease is already stressful enough, but Dr. Marcus showed no empathy whatsoever. It’s disturbing that most of his patients are elderly, yet he treats people with such little patience or kindness. If you want a doctor who cares about your well-being, I strongly recommend finding someone else.

Unprofessional doctor
My husband’s appointment for cataract surgery on one eye, was scheduled for 9:00AM. The night before the office called and changed the time to 9:45. Since we live an hour and a half away, we left at 8:15AM. At 9:00, halfway there, we received a call that the time was rescheduled, yet again to 10:30 AM. We arrived at 9:15AM and my husband was not taken until 11:30AM. Of course, at this point he’d had nothing to eat or drink since the night before. Considering the strong smell of food, I’m wondering if we were delayed because the doctor had lunch. As my husband will be here for two and one half hours for the procedure, by the time we can leave, we will have been here four and one half hours…if we’re lucky. In my opinion, any doctor who behaves like this has little care for his patients. Maybe he even has contempt for them. Stay away.

My experience with Dr. Marcus has been hopeful and reassuring. He is patient and explains what his approach will be regarding the treatment I will be receiving. I’m so glad he was recommended to me. The office staff is wonderful. The wait time is a little longer than usual. Overall I recommend Dr. Marcus highly.

Excellent and skillful doctor. Always willing to explain and answer questions . Since the office merger - wait times have sky rocketed. Never less than an hour late and usually longer.

Of Dr. Marcus' competence and skill there is no argument. But, if you seek a physician who will answer your questions with patience, and treat you with RESPECT, you will be deeply disappointed. He enters the exam room exhibiting barely under the surface irritability. Woe unto you, then, if you dare to seek clarification or ask him a question. You will be met with hostility, condescension, sarcasm, and yes, he will raise his voice. I experienced this on each of my visits. It's abusive.
