Dr. Craig Rodner has performed hand surgery on both of my hands to replace thumb base joints. He is a fantastic Surgeon, is approachable, easy with which to talk, and just a compassionate Human Being. Before my two surgeries, he explained every detail in great depth AND insured that I understood. I felt very supported by not only Dr. Rodner, but also his APRN Vrunda Shah, all the Medical Assistants, the Cast Technicians, and Receptionists. It was also very easy to obtain convenient appointments.

Likelihood to recommend Dr. Rodner, Thank YOU, and please pass along a big "thank you" to your entire staff. I am highly impressed with the kindness, thoroughness, competence, and caring attitude of you and your team. It all comes through in each interaction, and each individual interaction is an opportunity to make an important statement that the person being treated truly "matters". As a former business executive, and now a mental health provider, I am acutely aware of the impact that those factors have on ensuring both a comfort level for the "client/patient", and the the probability of a positive outcome. I am also much aware that you, as the leader of that team, sets the tone for the way that team will function. Thank you. Ray

Dr. Rodner has excellent bed side manner, is highly skilled and is fun to be around. He is also competent and was immediately able to diagnose my thumb pain and developed a plan of action, which ended up being surgery but I am so happy with the results. I would highly recommend that anyone experiencing hand pain go to see him, he is the best!!!

Being mid-50's with terribly arthritic hands is not fun. Dr Craig Rodner, UConn, fused the DIP joint on my right index finger, giving me use of my right hand (my predominant hand) once again. I wish I could attach the "before and after" picture. It's quite remarkable. The pain is gone and my finger is straight and usable again. I cannot thank Dr Rodner enough for the gift. His office staff is super professional and always friendly. His surgical team answered all my many questions. 5-stars!

I have had carpal tunnel in both my hands. I let the right hand go to far before seeing Dr. Rodner. I was told that the procedure would relieve my pain bit that the feeling in my hand would probably not return. I had the operation in early 2016 Several months later, went to Dr. Rodner for pain in my left hand. He gave me an injection which relieved the new pain for approximately a year. Pain returned, went back for another injection pain relieved. Also, 95% feeling returned to right hand.

Love, love, LOVE Dr. Rodner! He is truly genuine, kind, patient, caring, and professional!! He took extra time to make sure I understood my surgery options and explained the procedures in language that I could understand. He made sure I felt comfortable with my decision to have a proximal row carpectomy of my right (dominant wrist) four years ago. I have never regretted this decision. He also personally followed up with phone calls after the surgery to ask how I was doing. He is awesome!

Dr. Rodner is so nice and explains everything so that you can understand It and does not talk over you. He never makes you feel like you are wasting his time. He never rushes you when you have questions, so you may have to wait 5 to 15 minutes for your appointment, but you don't have to call after every appointment because he didn't explain something. The only time I have had to call is because I have forgotten to ask a question.
