I lucked into having Dr. Smith as my surgeon because he was n call when I went to the ER at Missouri Baptist with appendicitis. He's a world class surgeon and a genuinely good person. His follow up care was diligent and person-centered. I hope I don't need surgery again any time soon, but I'm definately saving his number just in case.

He was very caring and informative. He took time to explain (and even reexplain) when we asked him questions.

I was admitted to Missouri Baptist Hospital for emergency gastrointestinal surgery. Dr. Smith was the surgeon at the hospital. He was very kind, explained the problem and the procedure, and answered all questions in a very reassuring manner. He visited daily in the morning so there was no waiting for the Dr. to show up and again had a kind, gentle manner. He was honest and forthcoming with all information about my situation.
